Settling back in Korea was more difficult than I thought it would. Since Sofia and Hyun-u had left, I had no friends to hang out with anymore, and getting worthy friends as a foreigner was difficult. And I didn't have much free time either.

During the first two weeks, I had plenty of time to wander around in Seoul, but after that, I traveled every day from Gwangmyeong to Seoul and back, making commuting time longer than I would have wished because of work. Therefore, going out and meeting other people was harder. And I prioritized meeting Chan, of course.

I got to know most of my grandma's friends within that time though. Lovely people I should say. I was fine with that for some time, but after a few weeks, I needed people my age or so to go grab a coffee with.

You probably think I should have started with my new colleagues, but I was having a hard time at work. Not work itself, that was going well, but with people.

After I got introduced in the office, I had the chance to talk with a handful of people but the moment we went back to work, nobody would talk to me anymore. But I could understand it, the teams had worked together for quite a long time, and I had no team at all, it was just myself and the chief editor, and he had his own office while they designated me the furthest desk possible, located in a corner of the room, while all the other had big tables they shared with their teammates. It was not the ideal setting for interacting with them at all.

After a month, Chan started to prepare for the comeback of a mini album and we started to meet less. That's when the realization of me needing a circle of close people hit.

I'm not gonna lie, I expected to feel a little bit out of place at the beginning, but I was feeling way too lonely. Take into consideration that we were about to have another comeback and I had no Stay friend to share the excitement with either.

"Why did you not tell me you were here already?" I said excited as I opened the door for Chan. "I would have gone to the terminal to get you".

"It's fine, you would have gotten up earlier for that and you said you were tired".

"I don't mind if it's because of you. And that?" I looked down at the bag he carried while we got in the house.

"Ah, this... it's for your grandma. She said she wanted new working gloves to keep working on the garden so I thought it would be a good idea to get them for her".

"God, that's so sweet of you. Thank you. She's out though, she went hiking with some friends early this morning and said she will be back in the afternoon".

"Is that so?" Chan looked at the bag quite disappointed.

"What's that face for? I thought you came to see me". I complained.

"Ah, of course, I came because of you". He laughed getting near to hug me.

"Are you sure?" I squinted at him while he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I'm not into women that old". I laughed. "You're old enough".

"Ah, ok, that's a relief". He chuckled just to kiss me right after. Our hands started getting busy, and when I took off his beanie, I was surprised. "What the... it's purple!" I exclaimed looking at his hair.

"Ah... yeah, I got it dyed yesterday". He said slicking his hair back with his hand.

"It's been ages since I saw you like this". I kept staring at him. "It suits you".

"Don't fall too hard for me". He started to get cooky.

"What the fuck?" I laughed harder this time. "It's too late for that Bang".
