"So... who's the guy?" Asked my grandma while suddenly placing a cup of tea in front of me and sitting across the table.

"Uh?" I blinked taken aback.

It was the 22nd of December; I was visiting my grandparents since I didn't have work for the time being.

"It's obvious you're dating someone. Is he from here? I think that's the reason you've been staying until now". I breathed in and cleared my throat.

"Yeah... you can say he's from here". I started thinking that he was actually Australian, not Korean, but have lived for more than half of his life there so it didn't matter too much at that point. "Thanks for the other day by the way. I didn't expect you so early that day".

"It's our fault. We usually forget that you're not kids anymore". She sighed.

I don't know if I have said this, but my grandma became softer over time towards me.

"We've been together for a few months already", I said.

"Did you meet him here?"

"Hm... I kinda knew him before coming". How could I explain to my grandma that my boyfriend was in the posters in my bedroom?

"He's a decent guy, right? Tell me you didn't meet him in one of those clubs".

"No, no. Everything's fine". I started to talk to her about Chan. Omitting the famous part, obviously.

We had a long girl talk over tea while my grandpa took his nap. It was somewhat relieving finally telling someone I was with Chan, even if it was my grandma. Nobody knew apart from Ella, and we didn't talk anymore.

"So, are you planning on staying? You're taking classes, right?" The question took me off guard.

Staying? I never thought about it seriously.

"No, we've been together less than a year. I think it's too early to think about that".

Would I stay if things keep going like they were? What if he asked me to stay? Would I say yes? Would I put us before my family and friends? There was no way I could go back whenever I wanted to see them all. I already knew Richard would be against it, he wanted me to go back to the office like crazy.

I tried brushing those thoughts but they bothered me the rest of the day. The "what if's".

It was almost midnight; I was on my way home when Chan called me.

"Hello?"

"Hi, how's been your day?" He said over the phone.

"It was fun, I made a puzzle". I laughed knowing it didn't sound fun at all.

"A puzzle? Are you serious?"

"Yeah, a really big one to be honest. And you? Are you at home already?"

"I'm just leaving".

"Home?" I asked confused.

"Work", he giggled.

"Hm... too much work? You've been getting home pretty late these days".

"Just checking some last details for the performance. And we're done with all the recording and filming too".

"Really? That's good news! You are almost done with everything then".

"Yup. And I'm getting home early today".

"Well, yeah". Taking into account that he has been working until 4 or 5 in the morning, yeah, he was done early that day".

"Are you already home?"
