The morning after New Year was much quieter and lazier than our usual days together.
After the shock of seeing Felix sleeping on the couch, I collected myself and tried to recall the previous night.
Right, we were at Chan's Friend's party. It was breathtaking the amount of people he knew and how close he seemed with everyone. And it was very sweet how he wouldn't let me alone for long until I caught up in conversation with other people.
We were already on our way home when Chan remembered he left something he needed in the studio. So, after I insisted it was no problem stopping by to pick it up, we headed there and we bumped into Felix who was also leaving.
After chatting for a while, we went to my apartment with Lix to have a last drink. And, oh poor Channie! He had to look out for our tipsy selves!
Maybe things went smoother because we were already drunk, but spending time with Felix was so much fun! And he was so clumsy it was rather cute.
That morning, we were all soulless staring into the air. Felix and I drank something for our hangover and Chan made breakfast with a little bit of help from us.
After drinking warm soup and having rice, my body felt way better. I don't understand why we drink coffee for a hangover in America, I mean it. I've never done that again since that day, soup and rice all the way.
Once we finally woke up and had our tummies attended, we couldn't help but laugh at ourselves while we talked about the previous night.
I remembered everything, maybe some details were a bit blurry, but Chan remembered everything damn well and was in charge of providing confirmation and the details we forgot about and laughing at us, that's a given. Felix's surprised expressions were on point too.
They really looked like brothers laughing and bickering with each other. It was quite a warm view.
"Ah, I feel so bad. Are you sure?" Felix asked one last time.
"It's fine. He said it too", I glanced at Chan and then gave him a reassuring look, gently taking the empty mug away from his reach. He looked at me and then at Chan.
"It's nothing. You have things to do".
"Thank you". He stoop up and Chan did as well. "And sorry".
"Nothing to be sorry about", I smiled.
"I'm leaving then, it was nice to see you again".
"Same here!" I smiled at him.
"See you around then".
"Of course!"
"See you tomorrow", he said turning to Chan, he nodded.
"See you". Chan followed him to the door and saw him off.
Lix still had to go to the dorm and get ready to go out and meet some other people, but he felt bad for not having the time to help us clean up since he had to go quickly. The affliction on his face was real, Chan ended up convincing him to just go.
Chan picked things up while I washed the dishes, and we had all done in 10 minutes.
"We still woke up early", said Chan hugging me from the side while I dried my hands with the kitchen cloth.
"Yeah, maybe it's because we're used to getting up early".
"It must be it", he nodded. "Should we do something since we're already up?"
"Hm..." I turned my body to him wrapping my arms around his waist. "I'm not that keen on going out, I would sleep a little bit more instead".
"You really sleep a lot", he smiled entertained.
