"You can't do that!" Chan exclaimed, throwing his cards on the table.
"Sorry, I can." I smiled victorious.
"I'm done," he sighed, leaning on the couch after losing for the 4th time playing Pokemon cards. "I'd win if it's Pokemon Go."
"Yeah, I know. That's why I bought these. " I laughed, entertained by his frustration. "Are we going out?" I asked, picking up the cards and putting them back in their box while Chan melted on the couch.
"Hm," he nodded, not moving an inch. Sometimes, he really looked like a kid.
"Ok." I went to the closet and grabbed my jacket while Chan grabbed his after slowly getting out of the piece of furniture.
We had plans on going out that morning, but it started to snow the previous night, and it wouldn't stop until lunch. Some lines of the subway got closed due to technical problems, and some streets were partially closed as well. The congestion in the city was something else. Chan barely made it to my apartment.
Later, we decided to stay home for the time being and see if we could do something else in the afternoon.
Finally, we ended up watching a movie and playing cards and Call of Duty at home the whole day. But we made up our minds to, at least, go for a walk after being still most of the day.
It was freezing cold, though. And the forecast said it was going to snow the entire week.
Nonetheless, I was not mad about it. I never experienced much snow in the States, so I was low-key enjoying it.
"Ah, now that I remember... I was expecting a live after the performance of this weekend." I said, talking about the Christmas performance.
"We won't be doing lives this year. That's why we all uploaded photos on Instagram."
"Ah...", I nodded.
"And for New Year, we will have something pre-recorded".
"Is that what you have to do tomorrow?"
"Nop, we are recording something else".
He laughed, knowing that, even if I didn't say it, I would like to know what was coming up. He softly pushed me to the side with his shoulder while walking on the side-walk, making me stumble a little bit.
"What?"
"Uh?" He looked at me like he had done nothing. I looked at him, squinting my eyes and pushing him back. He giggled and pushed me back, and I did again. "Ok, let's stop". He said, chuckling while linking his arm with mine.
"You started!"
"I know", he pulled away, laughing before sticking closer to me.
"I called the restaurant today to confirm our reservation." I informed him to assure everything was settled. Chan could really stress out over little things from time to time.
"Oh, I was planning on doing it tomorrow. Thank you".
"I can take on these things, you know? I have plenty of time on my hands at the moment". He gave me a little smile.
"I wish I could do more things with you during that time". He said in a regretful voice.
"Chan-ah..."
"I know. I know you're Ok with it, but I can't help but feel that way. I'd like to take you to nice restaurants, go somewhere else for the weekend, go around without you worrying over people seeing us together..." He sighed already frustrated.
"Hey, it was in the package warning. And it's almost the same with you, is it not?" He made a wry face. "We even talked about it at the beginning, remember?" He turned to me, making a small pout, making me laugh. "I thought you were getting moody".
