Chapter 16

The ferry itself was a whole experience. When we set foot on the island, there was our guide waiting for us.

We started the day with a guided tour at the Tomb of General Nami and then at The Song Museum Magic Hall. After that, we spent the rest of the morning strolling around the East side of the island taking shelter from the sun under the huge trees; since we started early, it was still fresh and nice... Well, at least the first 2 hours. But there were just a handful of people, which made everything easier and more comfortable.

We were supposed to be at the Handicraft Studio at 3, so we decided to visit Cheongpungwon Garden before having lunch and heading there.

"You sure are taking a lot of photos", I said walking behind Chan while he walked holding his phone up. "Do you want me to take a picture?"

"I was recording", he stopped walking and turned to me.

"I'm sorry! Did I screw it up?"

"Nah, don't worry. I can just cut it if I need to". He said checking this gallery; I stopped in front of him.

"Are you getting footage for a blog or something?" I wondered since he had been taking a lot of photos; he filmed briefly while on the ferry too.

"Kinda, I was sending this to the group chat though".

"Ups", I shrugged my shoulders.

"It doesn't matter. They know I didn't come alone anyway".

"Ah..." I wondered... "Do they know you are with me?"

"Uhm..." He started scratching the nape of his neck while curling his lips in a shy smile. "Yeah, well... yeah", he giggled.

"What's that answer?" I laughed.

"Well, it's because... you asked do they know you were with me but didn't specify if with me here or with me... you know... with me; but the answer was yes to both so I was getting confused for nothing. So yeah, they do". He laughed shyly.

"Ah... puff!" I laughed at him.

"They've been teasing me non-stop since they found out the other day".

"Why?" I exclaimed, "They're so childish" I laughed but I reconsidered. "Wait, no, I would do the same thing to a friend".

"I mean... yeah, I'd probably do it too".

"Did you not want them to find out?" I asked without ulterior motives, I was just curious.

"It's not that, sooner o later I would have told them; but we've been even seeing each other for barely a month".

"Ah, well, that's true". I nodded thinking about it.

"It doesn't bother you, does it?"

"Not at all".

"It was funny; do you want to hear it?" He asked leaning forward, I looked around but there was no one near us. I guess Chan picked a weekday for a reason.

"Ok". I smiled and pecked him quickly intertwining my arm with his and pulling him to keep walking.

"What was that?" He said playfully leaning on me and pushing me to the side. "What was that? What was that?" He kept playing around.

"Stop! You'll make me fall", I said pushing him back.

"I won't let you fall", he laughed.

"In love with you", I said quickly. His ears turned red right away, I don't know which one of us was laughing harder, out of embarrassment, of course.
