"That much is fine", I nagged to my grandma who kept cooking nonstop because Chan was coming over.

"I bet he had been as worried as you and hasn't eaten well either", she said taking out more rice.

"Don't tell him that", I asked her dead serious.

"Who do you take me for? Now, move if you're not going to help", she showed me out of the kitchen.

Almost a week had passed since the official notice about Chan and me, and we could barely talk during the week. I knew from the beginning that he was going to be busy, that's why we made that little trip, but what happened made me need him around a little bit more. And not just because I felt uneasy, but because I worried about him too.

The reaction from the fans was divided. Some were very supportive and down to earth, others still supported him but made it clear that if he ended up heartbroken, I would pay the consequences. A more extreme faction was totally against Chan dating someone, some even argued that it was unfair when they were paying to get a way to him. I couldn't understand it at first, but after digging in the comment section and checking X, I more or less understood what they were getting at.

Basically, since they paid for membership or any other paid content from the group, like Bubble, for example, they were being scammed because "How will I enjoy his messages now that I know he's with someone?" It was crazy! How these people couldn't understand where to draw the line?

I don't know how many hours I wasted that week reading comments on social media to report and block haters because you couldn't call those fans.

Reading all that crap affected me more than I thought, and sooner than anyone could have expected, and Grandma noticed. On Thursday, she asked straightforwardly and I told her everything. Then, she told me I should invite Chan over and talk things calmly. I didn't think there was much to talk about, but I did as she said.

"What's the occasion?" I asked after greeting Chan at the door who was carrying a cake box.

"Didn't you say any day could be cake day?"

"Did I say that?" I laughed almost sure I didn't.

"You did!" He insisted.

"When?"

"Uhm... like a month ago", I tried to remember but I couldn't. "You know, when we were watching Avengers".

"Ah!" I cracked. "But that time..." I couldn't finish because my grandma came out of the kitchen ready to greet and hug Chan, and what I was about to say was not allowed in front of Grandma. Because at that time, the cake I was referring to, was his.

"How have you been?" My grandma exclaimed, always happy that Chan was visiting, in her pitched voice.

"I've been good, working hard. Did you take out the scrub already?"

"I did! Mia helped me out this morning", she said patting my shoulder. "And what is that?" She asked looking at the cake box in my hands now.

"Chan brought it", I said.

"You shouldn't have to. Lunch is almost ready, just sit there. We will be right back".

"Ok", he smiled a bit awkwardly, still not used to being treated like that, and even less to doing nothing. Although he always ended up getting in the kitchen and helping with something anyway.

Grandma and I went back to the kitchen, I left the cake in the fridge and served lunch along with her. Chan got up the moment he saw us stepping into the dining room with the plates and helped us place everything while my grandma told him not to.
