CHAPTER 125: Bad News

[BAD NEWS]

LUNA'S P. O. V

It was the third day without any news of Knoxx and Wolf. We'd tried pestering Panotchi for information, but he'd threatened us, saying if we showed up at his office one more time, he'd kill them both.

'Yung galit ko nasagad niya na nang bonggang-bongga pero wala akong magawa dahil hawak niya sa leeg sina Knoxx at Wolf. I searched for Deth, hoping to talk, but they said he was asleep after taking his medication. His condition had been touch-and-go these past few days. Sabi ni Pareng Hades, hindi pa naman daw kasi talaga magaling si Deth. Hangga't maaari nga raw, dapat nagpapahinga ito kasi baka mabinat pero matigas ang ulo ni Deth at hindi raw nakikinig.

Tangina naman kasi ng lalaking 'yun.

"You okay?"

Napalingon ako sa pinanggalingan ng boses. It was Gavin, his eyes filled with concern. I forced a smile and nodded. "Oo."

Nawalan ng emosyon ang mukha niya. "Liar."

I let out a long, frustrated sigh. "Nag-aalala ako kina Wolf at Knoxx. Bakit ba hindi tayo magawang bigyan ng kahit kaunting impormasyon tungkol sa kondisyon nila lang tulad ng dati?"

Gavin crossed his arms, closing his eyes tightly as he massaged his temples. Nang magmulat siya ng mga mata, kita ko ang mga pag-aalala rito. "Hindi ko rin alam, Luna, eh but I'm sure they were already out of danger."

"You think?"

He offered a small smile and gently placed a hand on my head. "Yeah, don't worry. They're strong. Love is the most powerful thing that can beat death. They love us, so they'll find their way back to us."

I couldn't help but smile, comforted by his words. "Thank you, Gavin."

"You're welcome." He lowered his hand and then opened his arms wide. "Hug?"

Grinning, I nodded and stepped into his embrace. The warmth of his hug was comforting.

A throat cleared nearby, making me step back. It was Kuya Luci. A few days ago, they had asked me what Kuya Luci and I had talked about in the kitchen and what did I do no'ng mag-isa na lang ako sa loob but I hadn't told them anything. No one seemed to have tried asking Kuya either, probably because alam nilang hindi rin ito magsasalita.

Kami naman ni kuya ay nagkapatawaran na. I apologized and deeply regretted everything I said to him. I promised to make it up to him. Our conversation didn't last long due to the precautions we had to take.

Our attention was suddenly drawn to a loud crash. I winced as I saw Chaos dragging Sander across the floor by his legs. "Ano na namang nangyayari sa mga 'yan?"

"They probably made a bet, and Sander outsmarted Chaos again, so now this is happening. Ay ewan!" Stella said, sounding stressed as she joined us.

"Aron, sakyan mo 'yung tiyan niya!" Utos ni Vincent na mukhang nabiktima rin. 

"Patalikod sa mukha niya! Hawak ka sa mga binti niya!" Sigaw naman ni Kian na halatang ang lalim ng galit kay Sander.

"Ututan mo na rin para may bonus," Denver suggested, his voice still groggy from just waking up.

"H-huh? But that's gonna hurt!" Jax stammered, looking flustered as he tried to figure out whose instructions to follow.

"I'll do it!" Rance shouted, jumping to his feet. But before he could take two steps, Gavin grabbed him by the collar. "You're not joining the chaos."

"Kuya!"

"Manahimik ka!" Gavin snapped back, making Rance immediately lower his gaze to the floor.

Sigawan naman ang nangyari kina Chaos at Sander. Dumagdag pa si Tev na nakaupo na sa tiyan ni Sander na ngayon ay pagpapahirap sa buhay ni Sander. Nakahawak sa mga paa sina Kian at Chaos habang sina Vincent at Zairus sa mga braso nito.
