[ACT OR NOT?]

LUNA'S P. O. V

We were preparing for our mission at eleven o'clock tonight. The atmosphere was heavy, and the room was eerily quiet. I could sense that, like me, everyone was still struggling to process everything that had happened the previous night.

As luck would have it, I ran into Panotchi, who seemed like he was on his way out. Bigla na lang siyang dumating kanina with his mask on.

"Uy, Panotchi!" Tawag ko sa kaniya saka tumakbo papunta sa kaniya.

He glanced around, his behavior making me furrow my brows. "Sino'ng hinahanap mo?"

"Don't call me Panotchi. Show some respect, Ms. Velasquez," he retorted, sounding irritated.

"Okay, Mr. Panotchi," I replied teasingly.

He closed his eyes tightly and raised his hands, breathing deeply to calm himself. "Breathe in, breathe out."

"Are you about to have a heart attack or something?" I asked, half-concerned.

"Luna!" He glared at me, his eyes wide with frustration. Instead of feeling scared, I burst out laughing but quickly stopped when I remembered why I had come out in the first place. "Have you seen Deth?"

"Holy shit." He clutched his chest, right where his heart was.

I blinked, my concern growing. "W-what's wrong?"

"Just a minute ago, you were laughing like crazy, and now you're all serious."

I shrugged, a smile tugging at my lips as I thought of my brothers and how we got this trait from our mother. "It's a normal thing for us Velasquezes."

"Yeah, you're right."

"I came out to ask where Deth is," I said, getting back to the point.

He nodded. "I saw him under the mango tree earlier, talking to River and others."

"Pinag-meeting mo ba sila?"

He shook his head, his eyes narrowing slightly. "No. I was actually wondering why you weren't with them."

I didn't bother saying goodbye and dashed to the spot he had mentioned, but by the time I arrived, the group was already standing up, looking like they had just finished a serious discussion.

"Ano'ng pinag-usapan niyo?" I asked River, but he only shrugged and gestured towards Deth, who was the only one left sitting on the bench.

"Una na kami, Luna." Warren said as he passed by. I nodded, watching them until they were out of sight.

"Ano'ng ginagawa mo rito?"

Napatingin ako kay Deth. Napaatras ako nang halos isang hakbang nalang ay magkalapit na kami. "A-anong pinag-usapan niyo?"

He avoided my gaze, a small smile playing on his lips. "I told them you're head over heels for me."

Natawa ako. "Ah sinabi mo sa kanila na gus-ano?!"

Tiningnan niya ako at malakas na tumawa. "Tara na, pasok na tayo."

"Hayop ka!" Sigaw ko saka pinagbabayo ang dibdib niya. "Gago ka! Ano'ng pinagsasabi mo sa kanila?! Taranta-" I stopped mid-sentence as he grabbed my wrists, pulling me closer until our faces were almost touching.
