*so I think I'm gonna update 2 times today! Yay!! Alright here we go!*
Tris POV
I go into the house and throw my book bag on the floor. Then I grab a duffle bag and a pair of clothes. I also grabbed my makeup stuff. When I was done I shoved it all into the bag with my book bag beside it.
While I was waiting for my dad to call us downstairs, I heard the bus drive by. I got up and looked out my window. I saw Four walking off the bus with his book bag slung over one shoulder. I lost sight of him when he entered his house.
I sat down on my bed, waiting for my dad to call us downstairs. I grabbed one of my many books and started reading. About 5 minutes later I heard my dad yell, "Caleb, Beatrice, time to go!" I grabbed my duffle bag and book bag, and headed downstairs. I stuffed everything in the trunk except for my homework, which I will be working on the car.
I took a look at it while my dad started to go down the driveway. It was over 50 pages long, and that's my minimum guess. Let's see, 10 pages about or solar system which we have to write out our answer and explain and there's at least 40 questions. Then, 3 pages of multiple choice about rocks and minerals, about 20 questions. Next, we have 15 pages of essay work, well let me rephrase that, one page had one essay topic with fill in the blanks that we have to fill in as guide lines, and each essay has to be at least 5 pages long. So I'm writing 15, 5 page long essays with fill in the blank questions as well. Then, 20 pages of regular worksheets about random things, one each page there are about 10 questions. Finally, I have 17 pages with information on it and on the back of each page are questions about the information and we have to write were we found it on the page. On the back of each page has about 15 questions. ARE TEACHERS EVEN ALLOWED TO GIVE THIS MUCH HOMEWORK????!!!
There is NO way I'm going to be able to do all this! *first one who comments how many problems and pages there are correctly will get a shout out!*With no choice, I get started. By the time we get to the hospital, I have only completed 3 pages. Great, just great. Dad helps me grab my stuff and I carry my homework in by hand. "Good grief. What is that?!" Dad asks. "My science homework." His eyes get big. "When is that do?" He asks. "Tomorrow."
"What?! That's not right."
"Well, nothing's right in his class."My dad just shakes his head. We get to the waiting room and I sit down slowly. My ribs hurt so bad. I get out my homework and work on it. Before I know it my name is being called. "Beatrice Prior?" I feel my face get hot and I stand up. "Uh, actually I go by Tris." I say. She nods. "I'll make note of that. Right in here, room six." I go as she instructs and when I get there she opens the room and I sit on the table that the patents are supposed to lay on.
"Okay. We need to check your weight, height, and blood pressure before we start. Come with me." I get up and follow her threw the door and down a hall. "Step on the scale please." She says. I do so but I don't look at the numbers. I hate getting my weight checked. She writes something down and leads me to the height thingy. "Okay, heels against the wall, stand up straight, chin up, good." She slides the thingy down until it touches my head. "Okay. Now for the blood pressure." She has me sit down and grabs my arm. She takes my blood pressure then leads me back to the room. "The doctor will be in in a minute." She says, then leaves.
I sit there and bounce my knee, feeling nervous already. The door opens and a guy about 6 feet 2 comes in. "Alright I'm doctor House. And you must be Tris?" I nod. "Very well. Her weight has decreased by 15 pounds since it was last taken 2 months ago. "
"15 pounds?!" My father exclaims.
"Yes. Is she eating properly?"
"Yeah. I don't know how-" I cut off my dad.
"I run...A LOT. "
The doctor nods. "Alright, just keep an eye on her. And her height has stayed the same, 5 feet. Her blood pressure has gone down a good amount so once again, keep an eye on her."
"We will." My dad says.
