HAPPY MLK DAY
Tobias POV
The rain and tornado warnings eventually stop, at 9 in the morning. School was canceled today and might be tomorrow with the snow that might be coming.
Tris is fast asleep in my arms. I had just woken up, Zeke and Uriah have as well.
"How about we go upstairs," I say. They nod and begin to climb the stairs. I pick up Tris bridal style and lay her on the couch.
Zeke and Uriah turn the TV on low, careful not to wake my sleeping beauty.
I cook pancakes and as I set them out, 4 plates, I hear Tris stir. She groans and I walk over to her. "Good morning Sleeping Beauty," I coo. She looks at me and smiles a little. She has bags under her eyes, yet she is still beyond beautiful.
I sit next to her and rub her arms, helping her wake up. "I'm sorry," she says quietly. "For what?" I ask, confused. "For everything last night. I-" I cut her off by my own words, "Please don't be sorry. You're fine. I swear."
She rests her head on my chest and I wrap my arms around her body.
As I wait for the pancakes to cool, Tris and I just relax on the couch.
After a few minutes we all sit at the table and they dig in, except Tris. She eats one pancake. Getting over eating disorders is hard, and she has to take baby steps.
Tris cleans up the dishes and I help her do so.
"I love you," I say to her, and kiss her cheek. She smiles and puts the dishes away, her cheeks pink.
