Tobias POV

We arrive at Starbucks and I go get Tris and I a frappé. "Thank you," she says and I smile and kiss her lightly.

I take a deep breath, "So, how I can drive," I start, "Well, in 4th grade Zeke and I were held back, I was only supposed to be held back one year, but Zeke being Zeke, had to be held back twice, and me, being his best friend, decided to be held back again too, even though I didn't have too. Now, I'm two years older. So, I'm able to drive. The only reason you've never seen me drive is simply because I'd have to use my dad's car, and he won't let me use it," I finish.

Tris stares at me for a minute, then says, "How come you never told me?" Hoping she's not mad, I say, "It just never really came up. I'm sorry," and I honestly was. She then takes  a deep breath,"It's fine, I just wish I'd known I was dating someone two years older than me."

"Why does it matter?" I say almost angry, it didn't come out the way I expected though. I meant to say it in a normal tone. "I-It doesn't. I-I just thought that you where my age. But isn't not a big deal, only two years right?" she says and I nod, making her smile, then taking her to the car so I can drive us to school.

When we get to school we go to our lockers and get our things. "It feels like it's been forever since I've been here," I say. "Isn't that good thing?" Tris says, making me laugh. "True."

Time lapse to lunch~~~~~~~~~~

Tris enters the lunch room and I grab her arm and practically drag her into line. "But I'm not hungry...." she whines. "You say that I everyday," I respond and pull her farther into the line.

I keep pulling her and pulling her while she's trying to pull away so I tighten my grip on her. In a small voice I hear a, "Tobias, your hurting me." That makes me drop my grip on her immediately. She rubs her red wrist and I feel guilty. "Gosh, Tris I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you," I say quickly. "It's fine," she says and gets her food.

We get to the table and I sit by her. Tris and I decided to sit at a separate table so I can dodge questions and Tris can dodge Christina, who apparently has been giving her dirty looks all day. I quickly see the amount of food on her plate, only 4 pieces of popcorn chicken, not even a third of applause, a piece of bread, and a water. "Tris, why didn't you get more than that?" I ask her and her face gets a little pink. "If I eat to much too soon, then I won't be able to keep it down," she says. "So you have to start back slowly," I say, concluding her sentence. She nods.
