Two weeks later
Tobias POV
"Get her that one," Zeke points to a pair of earrings with huge hearts on them. Knowing Tris, I don't think she would want big earrings like that. "Zeke, I appreciate your help, but why don't you go look for Shauna's Christmas gift?" I say, "Okay," he says and wonders off into bath and body works.
I look around until I find a beautiful gold heart locket. Smiling, I grab it and take it to the counter after examining it for a while.
The locket is only 30 dollars, which is the top amount of money we agreed to spend on each other.
At the counter, I asked them for the engraving, 'Forever and Always, Love Tobias.' Considering the machinery they have, that said it should be ready at 6, which is in a few hours.
It's Christmas Eve and Tris and I hung out for while, until the gang split us up to get ready for the hang out tonight.
I go to a printing store and print of a picture of us together, with her head rested against my chest while I'm kissing her forehead.
At six I go pick it up and hot glue the picture inside and wrap it.
Tris POV
I strayed away from the girls to find Tobias the watch he's been eyeing. It's a gold one with silver hands and black numbers. On the back I get it engraved as 'Forever and Always, Love Tris.' That quote has become our 'couple quote' ever since that night of my bad beating that lead me to the hospital and when I showed him my arms. We always say that to each other before we go to sleep.
"Tris! There you are!" I hear Shauna call as I pay for the watch, which was only 30 dollars, making it the perfect gift.
"We still need for Marlene to try on her dress, but she says she wants you to see it first," Shauna says, dragging me into the store right across from this one, with the bag with the watch in it in my hand.
The next day
"Wake up!" I feel someone jumping on the beg and my legs. As my eyes adjust, they make out Uriah. Groaning, I remember the gang slept over last.
Tobias and I get up, and go downstairs to where his tree is, that we all picked out together, that is piled with presents.
I sit down on the sofa, while he goes to get OJ. "Uriah? How long have you been up?" I ask. "Since 2 in morning. Zeke too!" he says, with excitement in his voice. I roll my eyes and Tobias comes back with the Orange Juice. "Thank you," I say before taking a sip.
The gang goes crazy opening all there presents, but I don't really pay attention due to my tiredness until Tobias hands me a present. "This ones from me," he says. I smile and set it on the couch before getting up and handing him his from me. "1....2....3!" He says and we both open the gifts at the same time.
"Tris! Thanks so much!" He exclaims before kissing me. When we pull back I say, "Thanks for mine too! I love it," I say, looking at the gold locket. "Open it," he says against my neck. I do and there's a picture of us together. I smile even more when I see the engraving. I flip his watch over so he can see his as well.
After the gang leaves late that night we lay next to each other and watch cheesy Christmas movies the rest of the day.
"I love you," Tobias says to me. "I love you too."
Then we go upstairs to his room and I fall asleep with him holding me.
