Four's POV

School flys by fast until lunch and the whole time I couldn't take my eyes off Tris. She seemed traumatized. Her left eye twitched and I could tell it was hurting. However, she wouldn't let me talk her into going to the nurse. She proclaimed that she wanted to be near me, but even after I told her I would go with her, she still declined.

The bell rang for lunch and I couldn't help but notice that Tris sat down at the table without going through the lunch line.

I walk over to her and sit beside her while grabbing her hand. "Tris, I don't know what happened this morning. But you need to eat," I say gently. She shakes her hand. "No, you don't get it. I don't know why I thought you would in the first place," she says. "Tris, you think I don't get it? You think I don't get that this society declares that if you're not a stick that your fat? That a girl can't be happy if she isn't all bone? That every single girl has to look like model? Tris, you think I don't get that society says that food isn't good? That it will only make you become this image that everyone despises? That you can't wear two pieces in public if you don't have abs and small thighs and a small butt? You don't think I get that every girl has to have the smallest figure possible in order for them to be attractive? You don't think I get that? Tris, let me be the first to tell that society is WRONG. It's made up of lies left and right to try and bring people down. It makes girls believe that if you don't look like this fake model then you need to do everything you can to change your appearance because you will never be loved. Tris, DON'T BELIEVE SOCIETY! Every girl is different and unique and the world would be terrible if everyone looked the same! Tris, YOU DON'T NEED TO CHANGE! SOCIETY DOES!"

She stares at me a minute with a blank expression. Then I see a small smile form on her lips. She wraps her arms around me and I do the same to her. "Thank you," she whispers into my shirt. I smile and she gently pulls back. I grab her hand and lead her through the lunch line.

I know it's short. Girls I included this in the story because I want you to read it. Believe me, I have plenty of insecurities and I'm working on it. But please use this. Every one of you are beautiful. I promise.
