Forever and Always

Chapter 88

Tris POV

Dad cancelled our last fun day tomorrow, because he has to leave late that night and wants to he sure he was completely ready.

I wish he could stay longer, but he can't.

Meanwhile, I am currently staring at a tiled ceiling, bored out of my mind. Slowly, I begin to count the tiles one by one. Then, I count the little dots.

I lost track.

Tobias is getting Wendy's while I stay here, because I am currently waiting for a moment of which I am not nauseous.

I look out the window, and stay dead still wanting the severe nausea to slowly relax.

Once it gets to a point where I can focus, my eyes wonder outside to our house.

My father is packing a really big suitcase and is wearing a Air Force tee shirt.

My eyes water as I see him pack a picture frame of us together when I was little. In the picture I am sitting on top of his strong shoulders and smiling. Even though you can tell I am happy, you can also tell I'm slightly scared of falling.

Dad smiles widely and places the picture in the frame, and pulls out something else of which he places by my bed.

Afterwards he continues packing and I watch him until Tobias comes back.

Once he enters the house, it immediately fills with the amazing smell of Wendy's. I hear him walking upstairs and his figure comes into his room.

"Hey," he says, and places the food beside me. "Thank you," I say gratefully. It is currently dinner time, and this is the first thing I have eaton today.

Soon both of our food is gone, and I'm making my way to the shower.

I walk out of the steamy bathroom in a long tank top and nice pajama bottoms.

After Tobias finishes with his shower, I am feeling much better. We cuddle and I feel his lips press to my forehead before I go to sleep.
