Tobias POV
Zeke and Uriah. They are drenched from head to toe and am looking at me in a weird way. "What are you doing here?" I ask, stepping aside to let them in. "Well, our power went out and we're home alone, so we thought we'd come to your house," Zeke says. "So you walked 3 blocks in the rain with a big tornado warning, just to crash her?" I say, checking to see if I heard them right. "Yeah," Uriah says, "do you happen to have any cake?"
I roll my eyes and grab Tris' arm to lead her downstairs. "Hey Trissy! Didn't know you were here!" Uriah says. She just continues to stay by my side as we go down the stairs.
Once we get to the basement, Zeke and Uriah go to the opposite side of the basement and Tris and I go to where we were.
Thunder shakes the house and all our phones go off at once.
Severe Thunderstorm
Nah duh. Then they go off again.
Tornado 8 miles away
"Tobias," Tris whines into my chest. "It'll be okay," I try to say soothingly, but with the loud things of thunder, it's not too helpful.
After a few more minutes, with the house shaking, Tris gets out of my grasp and stands up, "I'm going to go to the bathroom," she says and walks toward the connected bathroom. She was lying. I can tell.
Why would she go into the bathroom though?
When the answer hits me, I jump off the floor and take off toward the bathroom.
