Tris POV

I wake up the next morning feeling sore. But I guess that I'm used to it by now.

I decide to wear a black shirt with black pants and black converse. As I walk into the bathroom I see my reflection on the mirror, which means I see the bruises.

My noise is black and blue, compliments of Peter, and I have a few bruises here and there, but nothing to bad.

I apply concealer and mascara, then grab my book bag and head out the door to the bus after checking on Sugar.

Four is at the bus stop and gives me a kiss. "I thought your dad drove you to school?" He asks. "Business trip," I answer.

We stand there talking until the bus comes. When it does we get on and Four and I sit together.

"You doing okay from the beating?" Four asks as our houses disappear and cars go by in blur of blue and black. "Yeah, I'm a little sore but I'm used to that," I state looking out the window again. I'm surprised when Four kisses my cheek. "What was that for?" I ask. "What? A guy can't kiss his beautiful girlfriend on the bus?" He says, making me blush. "You're so cute when you blush," he says, making me blush harder.

We arrive at the school and I see the gang all together talking. I walk up to them. "Hey! Whatcha guys talking about?" I ask. "THAT UNICORNS ARE BETTER THAN POSSUMS! Uriah yells. "NO POSSUMS ARE BETTER THAN UNICORNS!" Zeke yells. "Possums?" I ask. "Yeah! Zeke and I were arguing about which mythical creature is better! WHICH IS POS...UM...UNICORNS! YEAH UNICORNS!" Uriah screams. "Guys...a possum is a real creature. It's not mythical," I state. Uriah's eyes bulge out of his head. "Really?" He whispers. "Yeah," I say nodding my head like I'm talking to a two year old. Which, in a way, I am. "YES! I WIN BY DEFAULT!" Uriah yells and Zeke just rolls his eyes. Then we go to our lockers and head to first period.

TIME LASPE TO LUNCH

The bell rings for lunch and Four and I walk hand in hand to the lunchroom.

"Come on! You need to eat," Four says. I believed every word he said last night even if it was just in his point of view. But it's still hard to shake the old habit.

Four grabs my hand and practically drags me to the lunch line.

I don't get a huge amount of food, I get a small bit of salad, strawberries, and sliver of dauntless cake. Four made me get the cake, it's apparently his favorite.

I go sit down with the rest of the gang and everyone just stares at my plate. "What?" I ask, annoyed. "That's all your eating?" Christina asks. "Yeah, so?" I question. "Well it's just that it's an entirely small amount," Marlene says. I shrug. "And I'm an entirely small person, your point?" I state. "It just doesn't look healthy to eat just that. Are you okay, Tris?" Shauna asks. "Yes! I'm fine! Why wouldn't I be?!" I say angrily. "Well, the only time I've seen you eat was the first two days of school and even then you threw out nearly all of it. And now, that's like 1/4 of a serving," Christina says. "Guys I'm fine!" I say, really angry now. "No you're not!" The girls yell. "YES I AM! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" I scream and storm down the hallway.

I run aimlessly down the hallway, just getting myself lost. Gosh, why did I have to go to this school?! I know that I love the gang to death but their just so noisy!

My thoughts are interrupted by a hand grabbing my shoulder. "Where you going, stiff?" Peter asks. "Not now, Peter," I spit at him. "Oh, stiff's angry? This could be fun. So, you been thinking about what I said lately?"
"I SAID NOT NOW!" I yell, doing a round house kick to his gut, this time making him hit the lockers. Then I run off.

I soon find myself at a complete deserted hallway. I slide down the wall and think about everything. Mom, Caleb, Peter, my eating disorder, everything. I get so angry that I punch the wall, over and over again. Why is my life like this?! I keep punching the wall until I have no energy left and my hands are nothing but black and blue. The wall has a humongous dent in it, but I couldn't care less.

I hear my name being called and I know it's Four, but I really don't want to talk to anyone right now. I get up and try to make my way back to the lunchroom.

Soon I see Four but I'm so mad that I don't even acknowledge that he's there. Our shoulders bump and I continue to walk angrily. "Tris! You okay?" He asks while grabbing my wrist to stop me. "Yes! Would people quit asking that?!"
"Hey, I just didn't know because you stormed off and now you look mad," he defends. "Well I'm fine," I say, getting out of his grip and walking to the lunchroom.

Four walks with me but keeps his distance, knowing that I'm mad.

We enter the lunchroom and I throw my food away, knowing the bell will ring. I sit down at the table and apologize, even though I'm still really mad.

"I'm sorry, guys. You were just concerned and I appreciate that. My anger was just built up on a lot of things and I didn't mean to take it out on you. I'm sorry," I say.
"It's cool! We all get like that!" Zeke says and that's followed by 'yeahs' all around the table.

Then the bell rings! Time for science!
