His Worst Mistake

It's a hearing...

Dalles had spent the last 3 days avoiding Grayson. Grayson on the other hand had spent the last 3 days trying to find Dalles. Everyone else...5 brothers and 2 young ladies could see what was going on but decided to ignore the pair. It was the day of Margot's hearing and everyone was in work mode now. Irving, Adrian and Brian had just made it back and were on their way to the Courthouse. Same with the rest of the team. 

Margot was dressed in the same outfit she used to make it into her cell. Soon she was being led to the courtroom. Margot stared at the large double doors. She took a breath before stepping in.

Grayson was on his way to the courtroom when the Royal Physician stopped him on his way.

"Ah Doctor Helm. Nice to see you again. How may I help?" Grayson said as he shook the oldr man's hands.

"I know you might not care much for your sister but she needs extra care now." Doctor Helm told Grayson.

Grayson raised one eyebrow.

"Extra..care? What do you mean Dr?" Grayson asked.

The old man shook his head. 

"The walls have ears and I also want her to leave this place. All I'll say is...she's lost one. There's two left. She could easily lose both if she's not well taken care of."

Grayson could hear the cogs of his brain turn inside him. He was shocked. 

'Did that mean that Margot was... my baby sister was going to be-'

Grayson snapped out of his thoughts and reached out to shake the older man.

"Ah...I- Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you so so much for telling me and keeping this information safe. I have no words to express my gratitude. The household will be in touch as soon as possible."

Dr Helm chuckled.

"Keep your gifts. Your sister is a good one that's all. She reminds me of my grand daughter. I only acted as a doctor and according to what I would have wanted for my granddaughter if she was in that situation." Dr Hel m told him before patting his shoulder twice and then taking his leave.

Grayson took out his phone and texted his brothers on his way to the Courtroom.

G: Hendrix. Tighten security around Margot and around her exit point.

H: What's wrong?!

G: I'll tell you as soon as we've left the Palace walls.

Grayson put his phone back into his pocket and continued walking. His head was hazy and the only thing on his mind was getting Margot ut of the country before anyone found out about her condition. If Troy found out, he would do all in his power to keep her here. Grayson started recalling memories of his mother. How his father had chained her down with childbirth and how he had abused her. Grayson felt a headache brew and clenched his fists. 

'Not Margot. Definitely not with Margot.' Grayson thought as he steeled himself and walked into the courtroom.

As Margot stepped into the courtroom she first spotted Troy who was sat beside the King at the high table. Astrid sat beside Troy and gave her a condescending smile. As she walked to the stand, Margot spotted her brothers, Adrian and Brian. She smiled at them weakly and they smiled back at her. Margot finally got to the stand and stood to face the courtroom. The media had set up at the back and flashes had started going off. The cameras were streaming live and Margot steeled herself. 

Margot looked around and spotted three familiar faces. As soon as they all locked eyes, tears began to form in her eyes. Betha, Vanora and Dalles shook their head to signal her not to cry though the three of them already had tears falling down their faces. Margot held her tears back and then faced forward. She was ready to face the trial.
