Hendrix's eyes fluttered open as his eyes met sunlight. He hissed. All he saw were blurs.
He reached over to the side table and felt for his glasses.
Feeling the cold metal, he pulled them to him and put them on. Soon his vision was clear.
Hendrix remembered falling asleep with a warm body pressed to him. Now his side was cold.
Hendrix sat up in Betha's bed and looked around. It was like someone had come in and splashed purple paint all over. Almost everything in her room was purple.
Hendrix slipped out from bed and out of the room. He made his way to his room unseen - fortunately.
Hendrix had a shower and then changed clothes.
Once he was satisfied with his looks, he padded down to the kitchen. After yesterday's activities, the older man was quite famished.
Shuffling into the kitchen, Hendrix came face to face with Betha who avoided his eyes and just smiled. The younger woman picked her plate of food and cup of coffee before proceeding to retire to her room.
Hendrix thought she was shy but something told him there was something wrong.
"Hiiii Hendy" Landon called out from the table.
That snapped Hendrix out of his thoughts.
He looked to his younger brother who had a sly smile on his face.
Hendrix mentally facepalmed and shuffled to the coffee machine.
"What's for breakfast?" he asked loudly,
Margot got up and waddled to her brother.
"We're having English breakfast. Grab a plate and dig in...I'll make your coffee" Margot softly said.
"But-" Hendrix started to say looking down to his sister's belly
"I'm pregnant not ill!" Margot said as she cut him off
Hendrix accepted the pampering as he grabbed a plate before going to the table to scavenge whatever his brothers had left. IF there was any thing left. The six men ate like giants. They WERE built like giants with no brother less than 6'1. Margot sighed. She and her friends had a bit of a hard time having to prepare food for literally 16 people. Each brother ate the portion of two average humans. Not to talk about Grayson who ate for almost three humans. Margot had no doubts that his food went to his height. Dalles however was most certain about where his food went.
Hendrix sat and ate quickly. With a last gulp of his coffee, he shot up from the table, pecked his sister's head as he thanked her for breakfast and then ran to look for Betha.
Grayson chuckled with a deep voice. The other brothers just snickered. Vanora, Dalles and Margot were clueless. They concluded it was a 'guy' thing.
~*knock...knock...knock* Hendrix rapped at Betha's door.
Betha knew who was at her door. She set her plate down and then pushed her laptop aside, not forgetting to pause the movie she was watching.
Opening the door, she came face to face with Hendrix.
She averted her eyes from the older man's.
"Hey" she said softly
"Cut the bullshit Bets" Hendrix ground out and Betha jumped.
*silence*
"Why are you avoiding my eyes?" Hendrix asked her in a low voice.
Betha was silent and stared at the ground.
Hendrix had enough an stepped towards the younger woman.
Betha swiftly stepped back into her room and stood with her hands up.
