His Worst Mistake

Set Up - Take 2

Troy sat in his office chair seething and sipping whiskey. Since the rumours about Margot had got out, he had been in a foul mood. He'd attended several council meetings to discuss the issue and all times, half of council had put in an appeal for Margot to be removed as his fiancée.

Her dethronement did not faze him. What bothered him was her potential affair and family with Adrian. Al the pictures lined up with her having an affair with Adrian and he hated it. Recalling the pictures, Troy grunted and then threw the bottle in his hand at the all. It shattered and its contents spilled onto the floor. 

"FUCKING ADRIANNNNN!!! WHAT DOES A MERE GUARD HAVE THAT I DONTTTT????!!!" Troy screamed. 

Troy's secretary stood at the side with a scared expression.

Troy felt humiliated. 

Why....everyone he loved left him.

His father and a dirty lying mistress.

His mother chose death over him.

And now sweet Margot who he had taken an interest...who could be his for life and whom he had started growing a relationship with was also leaving him.

For a mere guard at that. Troy could not fathom what was happening. His chest hurt and his throat felt tight. His chest felt tight and he had an unsettling feeling in his belly. 

Troy felt sick. 

Troy was tired. Rather than drag this out, Troy decided to end this and throw Margot out in the most humiliating way. Just as she has humiliated him. 

Troy glanced at his secretary. 

"I'm going to see the Princess. Also call up a council meeting." 

The Secretary nodded and then left the room.

Troy straightened and then looked out of the window with a grim and wicked expression.

*knock knock*

Margot stirred in her sleep as the knocks got louder.

Margot sat up.

"Come in" she croaked.

As soon as Troy walked in, Margot's entire being was devoid of any sleep. 

Troy stalked towards her with a very cold expression. Margot could feel the aggression and anger radiate off him.

"I need you to answer my questions as I have a council meeting in a few minutes to rectify YOUR stupid mistakes."

Margot said nothing and nodded her head slowly. She was afraid he would do something to her if she did anything to annoy him.

"Are you having an affair with Adrian?" Troy asked.

Margot shook her head. Troy scoffed as if to tell her that he did not believe her.

"Do you have a child with Adrian?"

Margot shook her head. Margot did not know whether Adrian and Irving wanted to leak news of Brian yet so she answered Troy in another way. "That child is not ours. I met that child for the first time on the island."

Troy said nothing and showed no expression.

"Do you love me?"

*silence*

Margot was startled at Troy's question. How could she love someone who had -

Margot said nothing and hung her head. She stared at the sheets that draped over her lower body and bit her lip. Margot could not lie. Not in this situation and definitely not to someone who had treated her the way Troy had so far.
