Grayson sat in his recliner scanning through the documents one by one. Unlike Margot who had ended up in a sea of paperwork by the time she was done with the bundle, Grayson calmly went through the papers slowly and with grace. He digested every piece of information making faces at intervals. It was either he grimaced or he frowned.
Margot patiently sat to the left of the man. She sipped some hot chocolate as she waited for him to finish scanning the files, the boys playing video games in front of them.
Grayson sighed as he dropped the last paper on his lap.
"So what do you plan to do with this information" Grayson asked his sister, his deep voice coming out smooth.
Margot dropped her 'MOMMA' mug on the table and Theo silently crawled to the table to take a sip of its contents after his mother. Margot spotted the boy from the corner of her eyes and tapped his tiny hands as they reached out to grab the cup. Theo yelped a low 'OW' and then pouted at his mother. Matt giggled.
Theo reluctantly accepted defeat and crawled back to take his place beside his brother.
Margot crossed her legs.
"Well....I'm not sure Gray. This is all so confusing for me now" Margot sighed.
Grayson raised an eyebrow. "I don't care if it was his fourth self or his self from his past life. The man did what he did. I'm not a forgiving person. I am against him coming back into our lives" Grayson ground out.
"But what if it's different now" Margot asked her brother.
"Margot...men don't change. If I....I will never....but if I ever hit you once. I trust ur brothers to forever isolate me from you. They'd never let me near you again cos there's a very high chance I'd do it again...and again. I'm sure if I ever hit Dalles, you'd tell her same." Grayson said matter of factly.
Margot sighed. A part of her reluctantly digested her brother's words.
"But that's men that have one personality..." Margot countered.
"And if his other personality suddenly emerges again? Will you and the boys pack ship and then travel down here. Restarting your life again after taking back the same man that cast you away?" Grayson asked his sister with an annoyed tone. The woman was not making sense to him. The man hoped no man would come near her to hurt her ever again. He had the power to get rid of anyone now. He would bloody his hands if it was to protect her.
"I-" Margot started to say before getting cut off by Grayson.
"But nothing Margot. This discussion ends here. If you feel like giving him some sort of contact with the boys...fine! But you? NO. NEVER! AGAIN! Look at your arms Margot. I still see images of the day I found you near death in your study. NO MARGOT! I'm not risking you ever again. I understand you want a close knit family and you want the boys to experience something 'normal'. But Margot...normal can be what they choose it to be. If it's with you...then it's their normal. They have 6 uncles and ... there's Knox. I promise you they're not going to lack anything that Troy could give as a 'father'." Grayson told his sister sternly. He got up and then turned to face her.
"You also deserve love Margot. You deserve to be with someone who knows just how precious you are. Not someone who's face will constantly remind you of the darkest days of your life. Please Margot." Grayson said with a his voice now soft. The older man sighed and then turned to go to the kitchen.
Margot looked to the side and saw her boys already looking at her.
"Mummy?" Theo called out.
"Contact with who mummy?" Matt asked his mother.
Margot shook her head.
"It's nothing boys. I and Uncle Gray just had a little fight" she told them calmly.
Margot leaned into the chair and then sighed again. Her head was a big mess now. The ice and steel she had over her heart against Troy was slowly softening. She regretted ever making the decision to open the file.

Troy sat in his study going over folders. He had accepted some defeat and returned to Softlia. The past two weeks, he had been neck deep in paperwork, trying to catch up with all the work he ignored whilst chasing Margot.
The man continued to send flowers to the young woman but he knew he couldn't step over the line. He forced himself to keep his mind of Margot and focus on work. He understood that some things could not just go back to the way they were.
Troy sighed and then returned to work.
As Troy worked a message came through his phone.
Octopus Wife: You can see the boys from time to time x
Troy froze in place. The man could not believe his eyes. Margot had allowed him see his boys. He wanted them as an entire unit, the woman and the boys. But his sons stood as the starting point. Troy was going to prove himself to Margot. Even if it took his entire lifetime. Even if the woman ended up with another man, he'd use his entire lifetime making it up to her. He was going to be a father to the boys, and a man to Margot. He swore on his late mother's life.
A/N:
Do you think Grayson is right? Could 6 uncles and a Knox be enough to fill Troy's gap as a father?
I've become so immersed in my work that I now struggle to write. The characters' emotions and feelings have become somewhat real to me so these days I've tried my hardest to portray them to detail. This is good but then also bad because I overthink how I want the story to go. I'm going to draw up a plot plan before continuing this. This is the first book I'm writing so excuse my writing (┬┬﹏┬┬).
I hope to get better (˘・_・˘)
