Margot's heart beat fast and the only thing her brain chanted was to take her boys and run.
The revving of Knox's car being brought up by the valet snapped Margot from the silence that ensued, and she kicked into action. Taking one twin from Knox, Margot hurriedly walked to Knox's car, Knox following behind her. She buckled the boys in and then disappeared into the passenger seat. The car had already sped off when Troy's brain kicked in for him to chase after Margot.
"Find her" Troy whispered as John walked up to him.
"But you..." John had started to say but Troy interrupted him. "Just find her" Troy instructed coldly and with a hint of finality in his voice.

Margot stayed silent during the car ride to the restaurant and her face had visibly lost its radiance. Something was bothering Margot, but Knox would not question her in front of the boys. He would ask her about it after work.
"Mummy...are you okay?" Theo asked in a tiny voice which expressed his worry for Margot.
Margot was snapped out of her thoughts and into mummy mode.
"Oh, darling I am. I was just very cold and needed to get into the car." Margot lied to the boy.
Theo had always been the more emotional one between the two boys. Whilst Theo ad a boyish soft and emotional personality, Matt was the boyish boy through and through.
Theo just nodded and leaned back into the seat.
Knox who had one hand on the steering reached his other to Margot's hand which lay clutching at her skirt. He squeezed her hand and Margot turned to face him. He smiled, eyes still on the road and Margot hung her head. Margot was fighting tears and worries. Margot could have had a panic attack but she held herself together. She had to be strong for her boys and she could not lose herself in front of them. If she lost her footing, they would as well. They'd be too worried. She wished for her sons to have normal and carefree childhood. One she could not have. She did not want them getting swept up in drama from her past.
She consoled herself that it'd be okay. HE had denied them, and he had no claim to her or her boys. She would fight tooth and nail to keep her boys away from him. But what could she, a broken woman, do to a King of a nation who had all powers and connection at his disposal.
Before Margot could fall deeper into the clutches of her thoughts, her phone pinged as a notification came through. Margot freed her hand from Knox's and picked her phone from her coat.
*Gray💖*
Margot swiped her phone open and clicked on the notification. The messaging interface opened, and she looked at the most recent message from Grayson.
G: Don't worry. None of what you're thinking will happen. We're still here remember.
Margot gripped her phone tighter as her eyes prickled with tears.
"Uncle Gray said Hey" Margot told the boys, her voice cracking a bit.
"Reallyy???!!" Matt asked. "Is he coming over???" Theo asked his mother in anticipation.
