What's the catch?

Troy looked at his screen dazed. Before him lay evidence that could put George out of office for good. Troy had on many occasions wanted to act but he kept thinking to himself. The McQuoid brothers must want something else in return. Not just their father being thrown down from his high pedestal.

'What was the catch?' Troy repeatedly asked himself over the past few days.

Before Troy could question himself more, a great surge of annoyance overcame him, and he found himself acting on his evidence. He was currently drafting a proposition to the council attaching all relevant evidence. Soon his revenge would be complete. All he could see as he worked was his mother's body dangling from the high ceiling. He got Margot out of the way...getting away with it at that, and now his 'big fish' was about to be caught.

With the tap of his enter key, Troy successfully sent out the articles. Troy counted the seconds before his landline would start to go off.

"...ten" Troy counted as the first call came through.

Troy ignored the rings and stood from his desk. He made his way out of his office and towards the joint chamber he once shared with Margot.

Troy took a seat in the common room.

"Well...what's done is done." Troy muttered crossing his legs and leaning back against the chair.

As Troy tilted his head back a splitting headache coursed through his head and recalled series of images.

"Arrgghhhh" Troy ground out in pain

Troy jerked forward and hunched over as he clutched his head in his hands.

The pain continued for a few moments before subsiding.

Troy slowly recovered himself and tried to sort out his emotions.

Troy could not recall any of the scenes he saw happening. The scenes felt so real to him. Like he had been living through them.

Troy thought about it over and over but he continuously came to a dead end.

Deciding not to think about it further, Troy rose and padded to his room.

"Your Majesty, the council requests an urgent meeting." John said standing before Troy's desk.

Troy was currently neck deep in paperwork trying to sort out country matters.

"Schedule them in whenever I'm free." Troy replied John without looking up.

John was silent for a few seconds.

"That's the issue Your Majesty. You're not free...at all. Till next year...March" John slowly informed his liege.

Troy stopped writing and sighed.

He leaned back into his chair.

"What do you suggest John?" Troy calmly asked the younger man.

John hesitated.

"I think we should push back the diplomatic trip to Grenlia to sort pending issues." John suggested.

Troy pondered.

"What's the trip to Grenlia about?" Troy questioned bending to get back to his paperwork.

"It was to sign the Treaty related to the adoption of similar Trade laws." John answered

Troy hummed.

"Any repercussions from moving this back?" Troy asked still focused on his work

"No, Your Majesty. Fortunately, they are the ones who have requested for it to be moved back due to one of the key legislators having to travel urgently." John answered
