Theo and Matt were now three-years old, playing around in the shopping trolley their mother pushed around. Their mother had bent to browse vegetables when the two boys spotted a man beside them checking their mother out.
Matt frowned and nudged his brother who looked at him with a curious expression. Matt picked an orange from the trolley and lunged it at the man who jumped when the fruit him.
"What the- You little shi-" the man got cut off as Margot stood and turned.
"Oh my God...I'm so sooo sorry. I'm so sorrryyyy" Margot cried as she noticed what Matt had done. The man forced a smile and told Margot not to worry. He and Margot struck conversation and Matt pouted. The boy did not like this situation.
Matt turned and forced his legs through the gap between the metal bars of the trolley. The man who wore a friendly expression now contorted his face in pain. Matt had kicked the man in the balls.
Margot used her hands to cover her mouth and her eyes widened in shock. The man who was now bent over in pain looked up at Matt. The little boy giggled and the man was now furious. He lunged at Matt but Margot's momma instincts kicked in.
Before she could stop herself, Margot landed a chop on the man's neck, knocking him out. When Margot realised what she had done, she swooped her boys out of the trolley. The boys giggled at Margot's action, Theo still oblivious to the entire situation as he suckled on his pacifier. Margot put her purse across her body and then ran. She ran out of the store and into the car, instructing the driver to take them home.
Margot made a mental note to never visit the store again and prayed a court case wasn't brewing for her. Deep down, Margot knew her brothers would sort it, but that did not calm her worries.
The car suddenly pulled up tot he house and Margot who was still deep in thought suddenly remembered the actual criminal in this situation. She turned to scold her son but found him fast asleep with his brother.
Margot's heart softened at the boys' cuteness. She slipped her phone out and took a photo of the boys. "Little bundles of trouble" she whispered as she picked Theo up and put him in the stroller before picking his brother and doing same.
Sleep and cuteness saved Matt from a scolding that day. By the time he woke up, Margot was having a laugh with the entire crew as she told them what happened. She was now too giddy to be mad at him.
