Troy saw the black luxury bag drop on the table before he spotted the woman. Moving to stand, he was interrupted by the familiar voice which now matured to match Margot's age.
"Don't bother." Margot said flatly as she removed her coat and slid it onto one of the chairs at the table.
Margot sat down and then placed her hands on her midsection, turning to face the side. She could not look the man in the face. She was not confident she'd be able to go through with her plan if she did.
Troy's delight when he had received her call earlier was beyond the roof. He smiled at random times without reason and John wondered if his boss's mental health had started to deteriorate again. Margot looked to the table and saw Troy ahd bought a bundle of documents with his.
"What's that?" she questioned the older man coldly.
Troy shifted in his seat nervously. Margot had managed to bring the man who's stifling aura permeated through the walls of the cafe, to an anxious mess.
"Uhm...medical records. They're relevant to our discussion today..." Troy said nervously, choosing his words carefully so as to not do anything to cause the younger woman to leave.
Margot frowned. What were medical records goign to do for them.
"Honestly..." Margot started, gathering her courage and turning to look the man in the eyes.
The all too familiar green orbs that matched that of her boys stared right at her and Margot stopped herself from jumping.
"I came here today to tell you that no matter what you did or said....I would never consider any form of relationship with you. I understand that as the....'sperm donor' to my boys you have some form of right to see them but you lost those rights when you cast them away. My all so wonderful father even startled at your cowardice and cruelty. My sons are mine and mine alone. I am mine as well. Whatever relationship I have cannot be counted as adultery. You swore to let me go in front of my brother." Margot said in a bored tone.
Troy clenched his fists beneath the table as he grabbed his suit trousers. HE steeled himself. The man over the past few days had lost himself in thought. He had lost touch with reality and with his sense of autonomy. Who he was and what he was....the man did not know.
"I-" Troy started to say, stuttering and stumbling with his words at first. The older man then braced himself.
"I will not make excuse for whatever happened in the past. I owe that much to you. But you have to know that....those things....that wasn't me" Troy said and Margot frowned.
she could not believe the words this clown had started spewing in frnt of her.
"What do you mean that wasn't you...you-" Margot had started to say before Troy interrupted her.
"I'm serious. That was not me. The man you met before the wedding and the man after are different. I-" Troy said but then got lost for words unable to form words to properly explain without sounding like he was given excuses for what happened to Margot. He really wanted to explain this to Margot but what was he meant to say? '
'Oh I formed a separate personality due to my trauma as a kid and that personality took over me and did those things. I'm okay now though!'
It sounded like something from a TV show and considering the young woman's current behaviour towards him, he was not sure she would take it too kindly. Regardless of 'whom' executed those deeds, his body and face acted as a host for it. She would remember that for life. His face and voice, his name would always be a source of trauma for her.
