Chapter 32

Stephan
Im spending my birthday at work because i can't bear to be alone in my house. I messed things up with Dakota, and it's all i can think about.

So i figure why not work, it will keep me busy.

"Mr.Homes, Mr.Scott & Mr.King are coming up". My assistant says through my intercom.

"Happy birthday bro". They both wish me as they enter my office, even though they have already said it 100 times today.

"Thanks, what are you guys doing here". They look at me crazy.

"It's your birthday man, and i know your not feeling it. Which is why we are going out, that's enough work for today. Come on let's go". I told them i didn't wanna do anything today, but of course they wouldn't just not do anything for me.

Hell we are like family, so i give in and leave with them.

I've been wanting a new tattoo so they took me to Saints tattoo shop.

After Saint tattooed me we got some food, and just chilled all day. I appreciated them trying to make me feel better, these really are my brothers for life.

"Thank you, both of you". I smile and thank them as the night takes over.

"Of course bro, so has Dakota called you today".

"No, she said she needed time. So even though i don't wanna give it i will. Man i fucked up with, i should've talked things out with her instead of breaking things off. Shit i'm an idiot". I'm getting mad just talking about it, so i chug down the rest of my scotch as it burns my throat.

"She'll come back to you, she loves you". Carter says to make me feel better, but i don't know. They didn't hurt her, i did.

"And if it makes you feel better Kind told me that Dakota...." Saint gets cut off by my phone ringing.

It's Laya, Dakotas assistant.

I wonder why she's calling this late, she knows i'm not with Dakota right now.

"Why is she calling you". Saint asks and i don't know, i'm just as confused as he is.

"Guess we're about to find out". I answer the phone.

Phone Conversation:

Laya: Stephan! Something is wrong, Dakota called me from her office because something was wrong with the elevator and lights. Then i asked if she wanted me to call someone but she said no because the elevator opened and wasn't stuck anymore. But then she got cut off mid sentence, and i heard her say Kylos name. Then the line went dead.

I couldn't believe what i was hearing, no was it could be real.

Laya: STEPHAN, did you hear me?

Laya screams through the phone, and too in shock to answer right away.

Stephan: I'm on my way to the office, call her tech people i want the video. I don't care if it's late. If they don't answer hell go to their houses. And call the fucking police.

I hang up the phone and rush out of my seat.

"Something happened to Dakota at her office, i don't know what yet but i'm gonna find out".

"I'll drive, you've been drinking". Saint says and at this point i don't give a fuck.

"Fine let's just go". Us three get up and rush to Dakotas office.

I call Dakotas parents, while Carter calls Isabel and Kind. Fuck she better be there.

Fuck.

They are rushing to the office as we are. so can't believe this shit, happy birthday to me.
