Stab me!

A/N: I was talking to a colleague the other day and he told me about what he thought it would be like to see Thor and Loki reunite in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. I added on to his imagine and we had a laugh about the two bickering, so I just had to write this little drabble that was inspired by the conversation. Hope you like it!

Summary: Thor can't believe his eyes as Loki comes towards him, Strange, Scott, Carol and Kamala. Although Loki doesn't come alone as he's joined by Sylvie and Mobius. Despite everyone being cautious about the situation Thor can't contain his excitement and he rushes on ahead to be reunited with his brother.

Thor squinted his gaze off into the distance and held a hand up to block some of the sun's strong rays, as three dark figures began heading their way. One figure appears taller than the other two. Scott, Strange, Carol and Kamala stood a bit back from Thor as they too saw the dark figures heading their way. Of course they kept an eye on the three oncoming strangers and considering their best move of action if they turned out anything other than friendly.

Eventually when the taller figure was close enough Thor recognised him. His heart filled with a warmth he once knew from childhood and a huge smile formed on his lips, although his eyes couldn't believe what was seeing before him. Then without a second thought Thor raced on ahead to meet his little brother.

Strange told everyone to keep their wits about them, after all they couldn't be sure what tricks Loki or this imposter and company were going to pull on them, and he suspected them to be in alliance with Kang.

"Brother!" Thor cried cheerfully and wrapped his arms around Loki in an almost bone crushing embrace when he was finally in reach. Loki was more than happy to reciprocate his feelings, disentangling his fingers from Sylvie's and he held steadfast onto Thor's leather studded waistcoat instead.

When they pulled away Loki was smiling as Thor held his hands up to his face and his eyes searching for the familiar flicker of mischief in Loki's eyes. Sylvie just stood there awkwardly at Loki's side, while Mobius stood there on Loki's other side grinning like a loon, as he finally gets to see the brothers reunite and he almost tears up. That's when Scott approached with caution and the others followed behind, but Kamala followed on excitedly, although she tried to appear cooler on the outside than the inside. A typical teenager.

"Wait, how do we really know it's Loki?" Scott asked, while Strange eyed Loki and company carefully, as the brothers seemingly still caught up on seeing the other.

"I know, stab me!" Thor says enthusiastically, whereas in the past he would have been annoyed or heartbroken by Loki betraying him.

"What?! No!" Loki replies with a cute denial face, if that is at all possible. Well it's Loki anything is possible.

"Go on, stab me!" Thor says again.

"No!" Loki holds up his hands in surrender, yet the two continue to bicker back and forth for a couple of minutes.

"You have a free pass, so stab me!" Thor holds his arms out as if welcoming Loki to do it.

"Usually I would be against this, but...maybe you should stab him." Mobius says with a quirk of his brow.

Loki sighed as he yielded to his brother's request and a small dagger appeared in a green haze in his hand before he stabbed him. "Yeah, that's him." Thor says with a strangled laugh, as Loki dislodges the dagger and then Thor clutches to the wound.

"Don't use this against me in the future." Loki said with a smile and a dismissive shake of his head simultaneously, as his dagger disappeared in the same green haze.

"Fret not, brother!" They chuckled and Thor clapped Loki's shoulder.

Of course Loki hadn't forgotten about Sylvie and Mobius. So he wrapped his arm around her waist and introduced them to Thor and his friends as his variant girlfriend, then admitting Mobius as his best friend to them. Thor welcomed them both with open arms and he expressed how much he wanted a sister who wasn't trying to kill him. At first Sylvie was a little reluctant to hug Thor back, albeit with Loki's encouraging smile she slowly raised her arms to hug him back, which made Mobius say "awh" and actually cry this time. Despite Thor, Scott and Kamala accepting Loki to be really Loki, as well as welcoming both Sylvie and Mobius, Strange and Carol still weren't sure. Also they made it clear that Loki especially out of the three had to prove if they be worthy to be on their team to fight against Kang.

Alternative ending.

As Thor and Loki continue to bicker, Sylvie rolls her eyes and without even a second of a chance she gets behind Thor then stabs him in the back. The sudden throbbing pain instantly stops the bicker brothers and all eyes on what will happen next as Thor looks at Sylvie over his shoulder. She looked pleased with herself as she then removed her dagger from his back. It took a moment longer before Thor sees the same mischief sparkle in her eyes as he's known in Loki's.

"It's really me, Thor and that's my variant Sylvie." Loki says with a smile and a dismissive shake of his head simultaneously. "She's also my girlfriend and Mobius here is my best friend." He adds, making Mobious get emotional again and then he hugs Loki.
