Chapter 7: Tonights celebration

POV: First person, Neteyam

The celebration began at night. Where the stars and planets hold their most glory. It was a site to see.

People started dancing and singing around the bonfire for my return.

"Neteyam, come on," Tuk yelled out and waved her arms at me.

"Okay, okay," I laughed and joined the fun.

As we danced, Lo'ak started make a shuffle motion with his arms. Swing it to his back and then to his front.

"Bahaha what is that bro," I laughed so loud my siblings and friends turned to my direction.

They began to laugh too.

"It's called the floss, dad taught me," Lo'ak grinned and continued to 'floss'.

I grew tired a bit and was about to sit down until I spotted Y/n, sitting on the sand. She had her head down.

I decided to sit next to her. She quickly heard my sudden movement and turned to me. But to my surprise, she wasn't frightened this time

She just sat there staring at me and then looked down at the gemstone placed on my necklace.

She then met my gaze again. And I looked at her too with a wide smile.

Please speak to me. I need answers.

Her mask had two hole, which are use to see through. I got closer to her in attempts to maybe read her eyes. She smells like mixed fruits.

Instead I was in awestruck. Her eyes seem to hold the night shy.

I could get memorized by those gemstones.

My tail happily moved on its own. Suddenly my tail moved too mush and smacked Y/n's right arm quite hard.

"Ow!" she said out loud and swiftly took her arm.

I quickly stood up, "O-oh I'm sorry," I then took her arm, without permission. Due to her light lilac skin, it was easy to see the red mark it left off.

"Come on, I'll bring you to my grandmother," I helped her stood up. Placed a hand on her back while my other hand was gently hold right arm.

Gosh I feel so bad. This is going bad. What the fuck do I do?

Her head look back at me from behind and back to her front, multiple times. I heard small 'huh' whispers from her at the start of our walk.

We reached the hut my grandmother was staying.

"Grandmother," I gave a 'I see you' sign. Grandmother repeated the same.

I handed Y/n to her, "Oh dear, what happened to your arm," she examined the unusual Na'vi's right arm.

I started to fidget with my hands behind me. My eyes were on the floor, a little ashamed from what I did. A few seconds, I looked up.

"You did this," my grandmother questioned and softly pulled
Y/n's arm for me to look at.

Suddenly Y/n spoke, "it was a accident, his tail has a mind of it own," she looked at me and nodded.

"Is this true," grandmother questioned again.

"Yes ma'am," I nodded looking down.

She hummed and told me to leave. But I decided to stay outside waiting for Y/n. I still wanted answers, but it seems
Y/n doesn't like me as much.

Well of course our first encounter was a total flop.

In just a few minutes, Y/n was done patching up. I heard my grandmother and her talking a bit.

"I apologize for my grandson," my grandmother said with a sigh.

"It's alright," Y/n whispered.

Just when I was about to check up on her. She was right in front of me. I panicked and lost my footing. But Y/n was there to catch me by my waist. I blushed hard at this gesture.

"I- uh... sorry," I lightly giggled and so did she.

I stopped laughing, because she was laughing with me

She then stop in a few seconds and sighed, "You... you apologize too much,"

She let go of me, I was able to stand on my own now. I looked at her, I could tell she was smiling behind her mask.

She put her hand up and patted my cheek a bit.

"Bye," she hummed and left again. My tail brushed passed her as she left. My face got real hot.

I placed a hand on my cheek, were she patted.
