POV: First person, Kiri

"Mama, can you help me with this," Tuk showed mother her tangled basket-making. Mom smiled and was more than happy to help her daughter. Although Mother looked and felt happy, I can't tell if something was bothering her. She was still thinking about her argument with Y/n.

I finally spoke after my meltdown, "You do not need to worry, Mom... Y/n, she'll forgive you, just like you forgave her," I reassured her. Dad was outside skinning fish, his ears perked up, hearing our conversation, he didn't want to engage in it.

She nodded but continued to think, "I'll be going on a walk," I bid farewell to them.

I saw Tsireya on my way, "Hi Kiri," she saw me and beamed.

"Hi Tsireya," I said back, with a smile planted on my face.

We continued to talk about how my brothers chow down their food to see her and Y/n. Having a good laugh, Tsireya blushed at the thought of Lo'ak being impatient to see her. Even giggled at the fact that Neteyam was also impatient to see Y/n.

We were so distracted, we didn't notice we bumped into someone, "Y/n?" I spoke.

Back to the present.

POV: First person, Y/n

"You know if we are going to fight the Sky people. We should train," I said with a straight face. We were walking together. I want to run and be wild for once, but Neteyam insisted that I take it slow.

"Uhh... I do not think I'm very well with spears...," Neteyam rubbed his neck, "And as for you, you can't train now," he shook his head.

"Your father doesn't want you on the battle field anyways, Neteyam. It's too dangerous there," I confirmed.

He groaned, "I am capable of fighting. I want to look proud for him... and that does for you too,"  his ears droop.

"And you've already been proud enough, my mighty warrior," I smiled, "it's just that no one here, doesn't want you to get hurt," I clasped his hand with mine.

He looked at me, braids brush his face gently, "right," he said frowning.

We walked in silence, not knowing what to say to each other. It was oddly awkward, for some reason.

I stopped and turned to Neteyam. He gave me a confused expression, "What's wrong? Are you tired? I can carry you back," his yellow eyes grew big with worry, "my gem, are you feeling okay," he came closer, caressing my cheek.

We stood there for a moment, while Neteyam bombarded me with questions full of concern, "My gem? Y/n? Hey~ hello talk to me," he began to look frustrated.

I inhaled and exhaled the salty air, "Race you!" I ran away, heading to the water.

"Ah! Hey Y/n," he ran after me, "Don't run! You still need rest," he warned me, stepping into the water.

I laughed, "But I feel so much better, when you're here," I confess, spinning myself around.

He shakes his head, grinning, "I know," he nods. After saying that, I splashed water on him. He spits some water out, shaking his braids, he laughed, "oh I see how it is," smirking.

I plunged at him. There we begin our little fun fight.
