Chapter 21: Escape plan

POV: First person, Neteyam

"Does that thing on your neck work, I've seen Lo'ak use it to communicate with your family members," Y/n said.

"It doesn't right now, I actually broke while punch this guy," I replied.

"Oh ok," she said but didn't seem disappointed.

In a few hours the door open again, a sky person came instead of Quaritch.

Y/n eyes signaled me, knowing what to do.

"Here's your food, now eat-," Y/n slammed the sky person head against the wall, killing them instantly, unable to finish their sentence.

"Woah.." I whispered.

"Alert. The hostages are escaping," someone warned the others.

"Let's go," Y/n quickly grabbed my hand. She was a lot quicker than me, which I never knew.

So sense she was quicker, I got dragged at most, "they have my gemstone somewhere I can feel it. It might be with our other belongings," she said.

"Stop! Don't move," a sky person said. Y/n let go of me and took the gun off of the human's hands and stuck it through the human's head.

More came in and she finished them off with the guns she took from the previous sky person.

She doesn't show any hesitation.. I like that.

"There, our stuff," she grabbed her dagger and pouch of a table, "catch," I caught my belongings.

"You are not going anywhere," Quaritch suddenly appeared a held out his gun.

"No, we're leaving," I grab the table and threw to Quaritch to distract him.

We turned and ran to an exit up on top of the demon ship. Suddenly the great leonopteryx shown from above. I gasped seeing him.

She grabbed my waist and picked me up, "Our come you're not using your queue to bond with the last shadow," I yelled as we flew.

"There's no need to," she simply say.

"We can't stay above the trees for long," she turned to me, "they'll catch us easier,"

"Oh shi-," I almost fell.

Y/n scoffed and took my hands wrapped them along her waist. I blushed and put my body against her.

"May I lay my head on your shoulder," I said shyly burring my face in her hair.

"Sure,"

I place my place on her shoulder, turning my side to see the greenery. I felt at home again. The tall trees and plants I once lived in.

How I wish to stay like this forever.

"Now my friend, you must go,"
Y/n whisper, "if they see you, don't worry, they'll only looking for us," she gently scratch the great leonopteryx's chin.

The last shadow nodded in reply and set off somewhere else.

As Y/n said, the sky people will catch us if we keep flying. So it was best to go on foot for the rest of our journey.

"Where will we be going now," I asked as she started to walk ahead. I caught up to her.

"My home first, I have weapons there we can take. My friends are there too. I want to check up on them," she then sighed, "I... just don't recognize this area that well,"

"Okay well, let's think this through. Kiri said you have some unique powers like her," I stopped and so did she.

"Hmm..," Y/n place her hand under her chin, made a little pout face as well.

"God you're so pretty," I blurted out loud.

"Oh," she looked at me confused, "thanks?"

"Oh did I say that out loud," I turn myself around to face a tree.

"Yeah,"

She's so unfazed at most thing. Oh that's right she wasn't raised by Na'vi, so she may not understand that many emotions yet. Shit Neteyam you're such a skxawng.

"Oh I got it," Y/n's eyes seem to sparkle a bit. I was still staring at the tree from the embarrassment. Hands were place on my shoulders and turned me around to face Y/n.

She smiled at me and I gave a confused grin, "Did you think of something," I raised a brow.

"Yes I did. We just need to go take shelter somewhere else and wait till it's night, all right," she let go of my shoulders and started walking.
