Chapter 13: Why now

POV: First person, Neteyam

We found out from our grandmother that Y/n was taking  riding ilu lessons with Tsireya. It was also heard that Tsireya was giving Y/n, breathing and swimming lesson privately.

"Good thing, we found them," Lo'ak was panting so much he started to cough.

Kiri, Lo'ak and I have been running around trying to find Y/n for about 30 minutes.

"Look there they are," Kiri pointed towards the shore.

And there they were. Y/n was on a ilu while Tisreya wasn't. Y/n had her coat off and...

And her mask?! Damn she's...

"So alluring," I whispered to myself.

"Ooo I heard that," Lo'ak chuckled, "you go by yourself and get her," he started to push me into the water.

Kiri joined in too and pushed me also and started to giggle.

"Wait-wait, how about we start fresh tomorrow o-okay," I quickly stuttered.

"Neteyam! There may be no tomorrow. Now get your skxawng ass there," Lo'ak shot back.

"Hey that's my line," I cried out. This was heard by the girls in the water.

Both Y/n and Tisreya turned to our attention. Tisreya's face lit up seeing her friends.

"Lo'ak, all of you, hello," she waved her arm high to see.

I took my attention straight to
Y/n. She gave a small wave and a raised brow.

"Hey Tisreya. Take a break and come hangout with us," Lo'ak shouted across from Tisreya, "Neteyam wants all the alone with Y/n," he smirked my way.

I scoffed at this and look down a bit. Until I brought my eyes with Y/n's.

Tisreya understood the assignment and left with Lo'ak and Kiri. Now it was just me and her.

After a small silence, which seem so long, Y/n gestured her hand to come forward.

I did what she signed me and swam to her.

She was so much beautiful up close. Her eyes glitter a bit, holding the stars, galaxy and eclipse. The water on her white lashes look like little crystal.
Her hair was wet but reflect brightly under the sun. I could kiss her whole face and never get tired.

I- please get it together Neteyam

"Please ignore what my brother said," I flustered up.

She laughed and put a hand close to her mouth before putting it back down, "it's okay," she whispered.

Even her voice with her face is attractive. Gosh, she may be the one who saved me, but might have give me a stroke, from her beauty.

She turned to her ilu that she was currently riding. She turned back to me with a straight face, "Would you like to ride with me on my ilu," she asked.

Ride what- you fucking Skxawng Neteyam

"Sure," I quickly said. I hopped on the ilu behind her. My tail began to whoosh playfully. My heart beat increased rapidly as for our bodies were so close. I decided to hold on to the ilu.

She turned to look at me. Our nose brushed against each other. I could feel our breaths too. I quickly back up.

"If you put your hands on the ilu, you'll loose grip. Wrap your hands on my torso, Neteyam," she whispered again.

"Saying my name with a low voice... makes me nervous Y/n," I slowly said.

She rolled her eyes and roughly grabbed my neckpiece along with myself. I yelped at the sudden movement.

"Be a good boy for me will you. Slow your heart beat and get your hands around my waist," she said with an annoying tone, "I don't have all day,"

I gulped and thought for a second. I decided to try to make dominance. I hurriedly wrapped my arms tightly around her torso. Placing my head on her right shoulder and quickly brought her body closer to mine.

I thought she would be hot redden but I was a total fool.

She smiled and turns to her right just a bit, "that's much better," she whispered to my ear.

My heart raced again but we were already in the water. I quickly controlled my breathing afterwards.

We swam with the ilu for a few short minutes taking air as we go.

We stopped and sat on rocks looking at the ocean. Y/n went back to get her coat.

"Why did you suddenly decide, to take off you mask now," I asked moving me head to her.

"Because Tisreya said that its harder to breathe with it on," she explained without looking at me.

I nodded and went back looking at the water. There was silence then, it wasn't awkward but unusually peaceful.

"Tomorrow... the forest people are going back home," Y/n spoke.

I almost stopped breathing at those words.

"And.. I'm going with them too," she continued.

"But weren't we-"

"We've only known each other for a few days, Neteyam"

"I know but I-I really want to understand these feelings. You-you can't just shut me down now a-and at the last minute?" I stood up and left to my home.

I hear her yell my name and but I didn't turn back.
