Chapter 79: I trust you

POV: First person, Y/n

I'm sorry, Neteyam... but it's for the best... my leaving will keep people safe... I really shouldn't be trusted when I can't trust myself.

I inhaled the air and exhaled. I looked around the room. Even if he can convince his mother, she's right to know that I needed to leave.

I sighed, "I tried to convince Neytiri of why Spider saved Quaritch, but it ended up with her saying that I should leave," I smiled at myself, "let's go... this war doesn't include us I guess," I climbed on Meh'ki's back.

I scoffed, "excuse me?! You can fly us back, and now you're saying to walk back home? Oh my Eywa," I facepalmed.

I stopped to stare at Meh'ki, "fine," I sighed, "I guess Aru the Ilu is my best friend now," I turned to walk back to the village, only to stop to see Neteyam, with fear and teary eyes.

I gasped, "Neteyam? How did you find me so quickly," I asked.

"Are... are you thinking of leaving," He asked, struggling with words.

I looked down at the ground, then looked back up and nodded, "Yes... it's for the best,"

I turned to Meh'ki, "leave us for a bit," he nodded.

I turned back to Neteyam, "I can trust you that you will not bring any harm to us, especially me," he looked me in the eye.
