POV: First person, Neteyam

"What are you doing here," I said but did not turn my head to her.

"Your grandmother told me to come look for you," she sat with me.

I turned to her slightly. I placed a hand on her thigh and gently squeezed it. They were soft and squishy.

She saw and looked at me. I quickly took my hand off her thigh and muttered a sorry.

She chuckled softly, "I didn't say to take your hand away," she then takes my hand and places it on her thigh. This made my heart race, face flushed and my tail wagging again.

"Are you always this bold," I questioned now making eye contact with her.

"No, I just get the feeling from you. I like to tease you for some reason," she smiles at me.

I smiled back at her. We were so close that our noses were touching. I began to lean in closer to her.

She turns her head back to look at the water. Her hair was now brushed against my nose.

I grumbled a bit, see that she's teasing me again.

"That gemstone... is actually mine," she softly said looking at the fishes under water.

"What?"

"Yeah... I'll tell you how I ended up here,"

"Okay," I smiled, knowing my questions will be answered.

"So the day you came back to life. I lost my other earring, the gemstone," she took another gemstone exactly like the one on my necklace.

"To find it, I had to follow its energy. I found a spirit tree, which I encounter with your birth people. I got knocked out on the ground while running away from them. They thought I had an avatar... Mo'at your grandmother took me in. That's a part a will never understand why she has a soft spot for me..." she paused.

"I've seen you through my childhood. My young memories are blurry, very blurry," she spoke.

"Wait really"

"Yeah, I saw your whole family. I think I was because my Ikran told me to go to your homeland in secret... like he wanted me to go to you guys to learn your ways of survival. I should thank you for that"

"Oh.. your welcome I guess,"

"Oh I think I was off topic,"

"Don't say that, I really like to hear your voice,"

"Haha, anyways the energy of the gemstone got a lot stronger.. which let me to you," she turns to me once again.

"The woodsprites came to me and show me a vision of what would happen if I take back the gemstone,"

"What vision?"

"Neteyam, that gemstone holds your life. If I take it, you will die and I don't want that," she stood up. I stood up too.

She patted my head, "your a good person, people who are just pure and good deserves all their wishes,"

I smiled, "thank you so so much," I placed my forehead on hers,
"I-"

"Don't say what I don't want to hear right," she stops me, "oh and don't worry I won't be leaving. I've discussed it with your grandmother,"

"Oh thank Eywa...," I sighed in relief, placed my hands on her waist and hugged her close.

"How can you be so uncertain with your feelings when you're like this," she placed her hands on my shoulders.

"That goes for you too," I shocked back as I was about to kiss her forehead.

"Nah ah.. not today," she covers my mouth is her hand.

"Mhm," I hummed under her hand.
