POV: First person, Y/n

I walked out of the room and went right past Neteyam quickly.

I stopped, "We will go on foot and Meh'ki is going with us too," I said harshly. He hummed from behind, I can tell his gaze was on me.

This is going to get really awkward.. oh wait it already is.

I was front, Neteyam in the middle and Meh'ki at the back. We walked like chains. Unfortunately, due to the earlier incident, we could not walk side by side, having a cheerful chat.

No one talk of course, but Meh'ki and I communicate by mind.

Say something - Meh'ki

No! - Y/n

You gonna have too because I know for a fact that the boy is looking like you rejected him - Meh'ki

I didn't reject him.. I just didn't give him an answer that's all -
Y/n

Well you could've said to give it some more thought you know - Meh'ki

Oh wait you never knew about love or mating! - Meh'ki

I do know what they are. Like I said I'm always unsure of myself on everything - Y/n

Fuck you - Meh'ki

*gasp in mind* did you just curse at me in human language - Y/n

Yes I did. Neteyam told me that Lo'ak cusses a lot when he's mad - Meh'ki

Mhm - Y/n

Moments passed, Meh'ki and I stopped talking too. Now the atmosphere was really awkward.

Neteyam seemed he wanted to say something, his hand trying to reach mine. But hesitation overtook him. Hearing him sighed or grumble quietly was really irritating me.

My ears perked, voices were hear. I quickly place my hand on Neteyam's chest, gesturing him to listen to the voice too. I tooled at him and nodded, signaling him for us the hide. 'Humans' I mouthed to him.

His face hard, switching his mind back to the situation. He was ready with his weapons.

Damn it... I need to hide Meh'ki and Neteyam, I'll finish them myself.

We quickly ran, as quiet as we could. Climbed trees and hid behind them, watching the sky people.

"Stay here, I'll deal with them," I said and got ready with my bow and arrow.

"No," he stopped my arm, "let me handle this time," his eyebrow raised and his ears perked up.

"No," I shot back, "you tell him Meh'ki," I turned to Meh'ki.

He moved his head away, not wanting to be in the heated conversation.

"I will not be a burden to you, especially you. Please," he begged, still holding my arm.

"Neteyam," I inhaled some air, "Stay. Here," I pointed down, and placed a hand on my hip, "I will not say it again. Don't make me act like your mother," I shook my head.

He pushed his head back, his hair moving along with him. He gave an angry smile, similar to a pout, "all right then, do whatever what pleases," he turned, not wanting to look at me.

With a worried glance, I left to kill the humans, who were searching for us.
