Chapter 8: Has a mind of its own

POV: First person, Y/n

The celebration ended right when Neteyam and I had our second encounter.

Morning came, the forest people decided to stay for a while. Cause one day with Neteyam was not enough for lady Mo'at.

Although she was quite upset due to the incident yesterday, she still loved her grandson.

Her family, the Sully family came into our hut, I share large room with lady Mo'at.

"Oh, hello sweet children," she laughed heartily.

Feeling like a disturbance, I choose to leave for them to bond as a family.

Neteyam and I brushed shoulders as I left the hut. His tail  lightly brushes my thigh too.

We both turned to each other. Wow, he blushed after what he did. His mouth motioned a 'sorry'.

I sighed. His tail has a mind of his own. And he really needs to stop apologizing.

I walked along the sand bar, feeling the ocean breeze.

But someone was there to ruin my time of course.

POV: First person, Neteyam

I blushed when Y/n and I made eye contact. I quickly turned away from her gaze. I heard her sighed when she left.

The room was oddly quiet so, I looked around, finding all of my family members giving a smuggled look.

"What's wrong," I asked, raised a nonexistent brow and crossed my arms in confusion.

"I thought you were trying to get answers from her, not flirting," Kiri giggled.

"Heh, I am... I'm just taking my good time," I grinned at her comment.

"Bro, you like that girl don't you," Lo'ak gently hit my arm.

"I- well we shouldn't jump into conclusions just yet. We only talk to each other twice this entire time," I started to wave my arms a bit as I ramble with my words. My face got hot again as I continue too.

They soon laughed and giggle once again. I couldn't hold the embarrassment any longer.

"AHH," I screeched and soon left with a still reddened face.

I soon walked off to the sand bar, taking in the ocean air. Until, I heard a commotion of laughter.

I quickly walked towards the sounds. I was very shocked to see, Y/n surrounded by 3 teal boy Na'vis. Her body language made it clear that she was annoyed.

She didn't have her coat on, revealing her lilac skin.

Good thing she had other clothe- Fuck! Don't thinking dirty, of course she would.

One of the water dwellers had
Y/n's coat.

I was about to get up to help her, until that one Na'vi ripped her coat into shreds.

This left me stunned and so did Y/n. I clutched my fist and ran to the boys. I kept punching the one who had ripped her coat.

"You fucker, you should know for a fact that she is only comfortable with her coat on," I yelled, giving the boy more punch.

Suddenly, someone grabbed my queue. I got up and was about to punch another boy.

But they stopped my hand from hitting their face. It was Y/n, she was signing me to stop this violence. I relaxed my muscles afterwards and took deep and slow breathes.

The boys soon ran off. The one that I took punches on was last at running.

I turned my gaze to the lilac Na'vi. Her skin was beautiful, she did not have stripes as a pattern but more so small white dots, like freckles. White hair was shown, with rainbow stripes in the inside of her hair. On the side of her waist was a small pocket pouch and a dagger. Her tail does not even move, which is unusual.

Wait, why am I focusing on her tail wtf?

She met my eyes through the mask, but slowly turned to the ground. She crossed her arms.

I copied her and look at the floor, I almost forgot that her coat was into pieces.

She sighed and couched down to examine the remains for her coat. After a few seconds she got up and raised her hand towards me.

She slapped my right cheek.

"Ow! Damn," I stepped back a bit at the sudden shock, "H-hey what was that for, I just help your ass, Y/n," I gave a small grin to her.

"You skxawng, I did not asked for help nor did I need it," she softly explained.

I still stood there in shock. Y/n then quickly walked away, but stopped and turned to me.

"Oh and that was for the slap on my arm last night," she confessed.

I placed a hand on my cheek, this is the same spot she patted and slapped.

Gosh Y/n, you're giving me mixed feelings here, you know?
