Chapter 14: Once you take off, I'll miss you already.

POV: First person, Y/n

He soon ran off, after what I said to him.

If only I controlled my emotions and actions better this wouldn't have happened.

I place a hand on my forehead and sighed. I swam back to my hut were I met lady Mo'at's gaze, her eating her dinner. She noticed my sorrowed face.

"You told him," Mo'at continued eating her food.

"Yes"

"Hmm.. you could stay here"

"Huh but I just became one the Omatikaya people, now the Metkayina?"

"Yes, you seem to adapt here very quickly than my grandchildren, besides you two seem very happy together... I... just want great grandchildren before I pass"

"Oh my Eywa, Mo'at really?"

"Yes, I know for a fact that the both of you are having mixed feelings for each other"

"I know but he already ran off, how can I tell him in time. When we are leaving early in the morning,"

"He probably goes on walks at night when he's in deep thought... come eat you fill and go look for him afterwards,"

I nodded and began to eat my dinner.

POV: First person, Neteyam

I walked into my hut with big red puffy eyes. My family saw this and began to worry.

"What happened"

"What's wrong"

"Did someone hurt you"

"I...," I paused for a bit and looked down, avoiding my family's gaze, "are they leaving tomorrow," I questioned.

Both my parents nodded.

"What about it?" My mother asked.

"Y/n... I don't want her to leave," I clutched my fist a bit and held it up to my chest.

"Oh Neteyam," my mother hugged me tightly. I embraced it and started to cry again.

"How you eat and go straight to bed?" She look down at me.

"I'll eat but I might go on a walk for a bit," I wiped my tears.

She nodded. My siblings were quiet the whole time. They probably think that Y/n rejected me.

I soon ate my fill and farewell my family. I took a short walk along the rope pathway and decided to sit on the same spot of Y/n and I first encounter.

I want you to help me understand my feelings towards you. You saved me but I know there's more in you that I want to know.

I cleared my mind, closed my eyes. Taking deep and slow breathes. I made sure that ears are towards the crashing waves.

I fell at peace and smiled. It's is true thought, that I've only known for a few days. Why does it have to go so fast? Everything can be gone by a heartbeat.

Y/n... once you take off to your homeland, I'll already miss you.
