CHAPTER FORTY THREE:
The following weekend had arrived, it was Friday evening and Jake was going to his mates place Jerry, who lived an hour out of Malibu. When he goes to visit him it is usually on a Friday night so he can have the rest of the weekend free.
It was around 6.00pm Brooke was at home with Crystal, Caroline had popped in as well, they were having a chit chat while having a wine when her cellphone rung, she picked up the phone and checked the caller ID it was Jake "Hello"
"Hi babe, just thought I'd give you a call, I've just left the hair dressers at Marina Delray and I am now heading to Jerry's".
"I didn't know you got your hair cut by someone all the way out there, I thought it would be somewhere local".
"I've been getting my hair cut by the same hair dresser for years"
"Well I hope you have a great time tonight" Brooke said
"Yeah, you too, what are you upto tonight?"
"Oh nothing, Crystal and I are staying in, we will probably watch a movie or two, Caronline's here at the moment having a wine with us"
"Well have fun then, I probably won't be able to call you again tonight as I'll be out, but I will call you tomorrow on my way home from Jerry's"
"Okay, I love you"
"I love you too" an then Jake hung up.
"That was Mr Wonderful" Brooke said to Crystal and Caroline "He's staying at his mates place tonight. mmm It must be great being a bloke and being such a free man with not a care in the world" Brooke said this with sarcasim in her voice.
Crystal and Caroline laughed.
"How is it all going with you and Jake?" Caroline asked
"It's okay, I caught him out last week lieing about being at the snow, but as usual he came up with a great excuse, so I had to believe him, I'd tell you he would make a fortune if he wrote a book about lies"
"Back to his usual games hey" Crystal said to Brooke
"It does seem that way, but I warned him again that if he cheats on me I will be telling Rick all about him and his affair with Monica, and I have noted down everything that has happen since we met, Jake doesn't know that part though, it's all in my diary. Jake insists that he wants to be with me and that he is not seeing Monica" Brooke told the girls "We can only wait and see, I hope he's telling the truth".
The grils had a great time catching up and it was nice for a change staying home then going out and trashing ones self for the night. Caroline went home around 8.00pm and Crystal and Brooke watched a movie before retiring to bed.
