ChapterTwenty Five

CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE:

On the Friday night a large group of Brooke's friends were all meeting at a steak house for dinner and then going out to celebrate her birthday. Jake couldn't make it as he had a gig on but, he was going to meet up with her at the club later that night.

Caroline, Nathen, Crystal, Hank and Victoria were all going to be there so Brooke was looking forward to that.

They were having so much fun at the restaurant, they were very loud and there was lots of laughter at the table it could be heard accross to the other side of the restaurant. There was red and white wine, beer and champaigne flowing. A surprise birthday cake for Brooke was organised by Caroline she was a very good friend and an extremely thoughtful person, it was lit with candles and sparklers, they all sung happy birthday as she blew out the candle and cut the cake it was yummy!

The group was reminissing on old times and talked about some of the kooky and crazy things they had all gotten upto when they were kids growing up. Most of the people at the table had been friends since they were kids or even old school pals. There were lots of photo's being taken at the table Brooke just loved taking photo's she loved to be able to look back at the photo's. She loved having the memories that photo's give especially on special occassions.

They left the restaurant and went to Brooke's favourite place the "V Room". Brooke went to the bar and ordered a round of "CSC'S" (Cock sucking cowboys) shots. They had several rounds of shots and they were having a ball. The girls all got up to dance, they were all dancing in line to "The Bus Stop" they were either turning in the wrong direction or bumping into each other, it would have been quite funny to watch from a distance, the girls didn't care they were happy to dance and sing to all their favourite songs. A few guys came up and danced with the group of girls. After a couple of songs the girls went back to their table to have a drink, it was thirsty work jumping around on the dance floor. Victoria who was having so much fun and had too much energy started to dance to "Kung Fu Fighting" at the table she was doing karate kicks and kung fu actions with her hands and arms, it was quite amuzing to watch and to see her facial expressions, she was really having a blast of a time.

Brooke was looking out for Jake constently incase her turned up, it was 1.00am in the morning so she decided to go for a quick walk around the club and then she spotted him, he was standing in the back corner of the room having a quiet drink on his own. She waved to him as she approached him, she gave him a quick peck on the lips, "How long have you been here for?" she asked

"About twenty minutes"

"Why didn't you come over to our table?"

"It's too crowded over there, you know how I hate crowds!"

Brooke thought to herself how does he cope when he is playing in the band with the crowd around him, but didn't say anything to Jake.

"Come on it's not that bad Jake, all my friends are over there"

"Oh alright"

So Brooke took him by the hand and led him through the crowd over to the table. A lot of her friends were happy to see him and made conversation.

A little later into the night the group started to thin out as it was now 2.30am, so the ones that were still there decided to go, as it was easier getting a cabthen, then waiting for the "V Room" to close. Brooke made sure all her friends got into cabs and then she left with Jake, Crystal and hank and they went home.
