Chapter Eighteen

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN:

The wedding day arrived, Jake picked up Brooke she was already dressed in a beautiful summery cocktail dress which was strapless and just to the knees in taupe, cream and topaz colours, she looked gorgeous. Jake wore a dark pinned striped suite and a white shirt and matching tie he too looked extremely handsome. They arrived in San Diego and drove to the Hyatt to check their luggage in and to park the car. After puttig their bags in they took a taxi to the wedding which was at her brother's house Chuck and wife to be Kim's house.

When they arrived at Chuck and Kim's house they were ushered to the garden as the ceremony was about to start. Brooke introduced Jake to her Mom and Dad and their partners along with some family and friends. The ceremony began, Brooke had to do a reading.

When they said "I do" Brooke's mind wandered off and she was dreaming of the day when she too would be hopefully saying those words to Jake. The area where the tables were all set up was absolutely beautiful they had done a tremendous job on the decore and decorations, there were little tea light candles lit around the place along with fairy lights., the ambience was amazing.

They had their photos taken down at a very pretty park with a beautiful pond and background scenery and Jake was in some of the family shots, the family took to him straight away. That made Brooke feel so happy and relaxed.

Once they got back to Chuck and Kims house they had pre dinner drinks and mingled, then it was time to go to their designated tables for dinner and speeches. The wedding cake was beautiful, once the cutting of the cake was done the Bride and Groom took to the dance floor, then the guests were asked to get up and dance. Jake led Brooke to the dance floor and held her in his arms as they danced, he was so affectionate Brooke was astounded, she couldn't beleive the change in him. Jake was talking to Brooke's father while she was off freshening herself up, once she finnished she went back over to the table to talk to family while Jake had to go out the front of the house to make a phone call. A very close family friend said to Brooke that she looked extremely happy and asked her how she felt about Jake, she told her and some of the other family members at the table just how much she loved and appreciated him and how good he was to her. The question asked to Brooke by her Auntie was "Do you think you would marry Jake?" and Brooke replied with a yes.

The night couldn't have gone better, it was a great wedding.

The next morning arrived and Brooke and Jake were checking out of their room. Jake couldn't find his keys, he must have lost them in the taxi on the way to or from the wedding. So they couldn't drive the car back to LA, so they had to catch a taxi back to LA and then take Brooke's car to Jake's house to pick up the spare set of keys. He had a spare house key hidden in a jar in the garden so he could get inside while Brooke waited in her car, he returned with the keys and back they drove to San Diego. Brooke felt bad for Jake she dropped him at the hotel and her told her to go and that he would call her later.
