CHAPTER FIFTEEN:
Valentines day had arrived and Brooke and Crystal were quite excited. It was the first time in a very long time that they were actually in a relationship with someone. Hank was taking Crystal our for a romantic dinner at a very classy restaurant in Hollywood. It was Level 41 the restaurant was over looking Hollywood you could see the city lights and the famous Hollywood sign lit up way up in the hills.
"That sounds very romantic, what time is he picking you up?" asked Brooke
"In about half an hour, what are you doing tonight?"
"Not much at all, I have the children, but Jake is comming over I did offer to cook him dinner but he declined, he is comming over at his usual time of 8.30pm, he says he doesn't believe in Valentines day that it's a money making day for the retailers".
"I'm sure he'll have something nice to give you"
"I'd be happy with a card! I checked the letter box just incase he sent one but there wasn't anything in there." she giggled feeling silly for being so honest.
"I won't be home tonight I am staying at Hanks"
"Well I hope you have a wonderful evening"
Hank turned up with a hugh bunch of roses for Crystal, she popped them in a vase of water and put them on the kitchen table and then they left.
Brooke put the kids to bed and then went back to the loungeroom waiting for Jake to arrive.
He soon arrived with a bottle of wine. Brooke was expecting a surprise even a card would have made her day. She was a little upset and dissappointed. He noticed the roses in the vase sitting on the kitchen table.
"Who's are they?"
"They are Crystals, Hank gave them to her for Valentines day and has taken her out for dinner to Level 41"
"As you know I don't believe in Valentines Day"
"So you keep telling me"
Brooke excused herself and went off to her bedroom, she had brought Jake a gift, she bought him a very expensive bottle of Chanel aftershave and a mushy lovey dovey valentines card. She came back into the loungeroom where Jake was laying on the couch watching television with a glass of wine. She handed him his gift, she was secretly hoping he would feel bad for not being romantic himself.
He opened the card first and gave Brooke that puppy dog look and continued to open his present.
"Thank you soo much, you really shouldn't have done this" said Jake
"I wanted to, I do believe in Valentines Day, it's been a while since I've had someone to share Valentines day with".
He pulled her over to him and kissed her tenderly, they laid on the couch together wrapped in each others arms.
It was getting rather late so they made there way to the bedroom. Jake made love to Brooke like he had never done before. As they laid naked together under the silk sheets, Jake turned to Brooke and told her he loved her. She was overwhelmed with tears of joy and told him she loved him too. She had forgiven him for his unromantic ways and they both fell into a deep sleep.
