CHAPTER SIX:
Sunday morning came and the rays of sunlight was streaming through Brooke's bedroom window and the birds were chirping outside, too loud for Brooke to try and fall asleep, so she looked outside her window and thought to herself it looks like it's going to be another hot day today. So she decided to get up out of bed and make the most of the beautiful summers day.
As she rose from her bed she could feel a sharp pain pounding in her head "Great a hangover!" she said to herself. So she dragged herself off to the bathroom and grabbed some panandol.
It was around 9.00am Crystal was still asleep in her room upstairs, she could sleep through anything.
Brooke had a shower and then got into her cosies and decided to go to the beach for a swim to help relieve her hangover and to buy some greasy hot chips with lots of vinegar on the way to the beach. So she left a note on the fridge for when Crystal woke up.
That afternoon when she got home from the beach she sat outside with the kids as Brad who was Lauren and Dillon's father had just dropped them off, so Crystal and Brooke sat outside with a glass of wine, watching the kids play on the trampoline. They were talking about last night. Crystal mentioned how Mitch wanted to take her out to dinner, but when reality had set in she wasn't so keen.
"You really should give him a chance, he is a really nice decent guy, Hank hasn't exactly asked you out, your a free agent as far as I can see!" said Brooke
"Okay, I will see, I won't be disappointed if he doesn't call"
Brooke said to Crystal "Well it doesn't look like Jake was so keen after all! Why do men love playing that game, they tell you they are going to call and don't, especially when he was so keen to see me the night I met him'
"I'm sure he will call you remember it is only Sunday night, he probably doesn't want to seem too keen, he might think it will scare you away"
"Who made that rule? Wait a few days before calling, it's ridiculous! I don't get it why waist time with all this marcho shit! Treat em mean and keep em keen, huh!"
It was getting late and the girls had to work the next day. Usually after a big night out on a Saturday, come Monday morning no-body wants to get up to go to work. It's always a bit of a struggle, and Brooke had to get the kids up early and off to school.
