Chapter Seventeen

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN:

Jake arrived he came in as the front door was open.

"How are you feeling now sweety?" Jake asked Brooke

"I'm fine, I'd rather just forget about the whole thing. It was a misunderstanding, I know that if you didn't want to see me anymore you would leave me, instead of stringing me along"

"Like I said I would never do anything to hurt you".

"Okay lets just drop it" Brooke had made sure she had documented this incident in her diary along with other things he tells her that he's doing.

They had a lovely dinner and went to another popular bar just outside of Hollywood, Brooke had never been to this bar before, they stayed for a couple of drinks and then went home.

The next morning Brooke was lying in bed thinking about yesterday's drama. She then turned to Jake and said "How come you never hold my hand or show any affection when we are out in public?"

"I don't know, I'm not a touchy feely sort of a person" she just couldn't get these thoughts out of her head.

"We'll I guess I better get up and go home and check on the dog. I will give you a call later"

Once again he was getting out of spending the day with Brooke.

Brooke rung her friend Victoria to see what she was up to today, she was heading off to the beach, Brooke's children were coming back at 12.00 noon today so she thought she would meet up with Victoria and her kids at around 1.00pm. She tidied up around the house and got ready for when the kids were to arrive. Not long after and they were all down the beach, swimming and dodging the massive waves. Dillon loved catching the waves on his body board while Lauren held onto Brookes hand and dived under the waves. It was never a relaxing time when the surf was so rough, Brooke was either standing at the waters edge watching the chlldren or in the water with them, but the kids loved it. Brooke told Victoria the drama that had happened yesterday, she felt the more people she told the better she felt and she also wanted to get her opinion.

"I think it was probably a misunderstanding" said Victoria

"You know I hope so, I have let my guard down and opened my heart up to him, I love hime so much! I can't imagine life without him. I think about all the nights he stays over, how in the hell could he be seeing someone else?, but you know what? I am not going to be sitting at home when I don't have the children waiting for him to either finnish jamming or finnish a gig. He won't let me go and watch hime so why should I be trapped at home".

"That's right, you're doing the right thing Brooke, and don't feel guilty about it".

"He knows I won't cheat on him, besides anytime I do go out he usually will come and pick me up. He pops in for an hour and then we go, at least I know he's not ashamed of being seen with me!"

They'd been at the beach for a few hours so they decided to all go and see Caroline as it was a Sunday ritual only for an hour or so as they all do have to go to work the next day and the children had school. They packed up their things and stopped off at the liquor store and then headed to Caroline's. When they arrived Crystal and Hank were there along with Caroline's mom and stepfather. They all kissed and hugged each other hello and then sat down and started talking like a bunch of cackling geese. Brooke, Caroline, Victoria and the kids decided to hop in the jacuzi to wind down, it was so relaxing. The subject was about the drama between Brooke and Jake they all laughed about it as Brooke told the story in her own comical way. She was feeling a lot better about it by the minute. The children were getting a little restless so Brooke decided it was time to go home and start dinner. So they said their goodbyes and headed for home. As Brooke arrived home her cellphone rung it was Jake he was going to come over later.

Jake came over later that night, he told Brooke that he was going to be staying at the Hyatt near Zuma Beach in Malibu for the night on Friday night, he had some business idea's he wanted to talk to his mate Jerry about who lived another hour away from Zuma Beach. They thought they would meet there and stay at the Hyatt as they were going to have a few drinks.

"Oh okay, I have Dillon and Lauren that night anyway, don't forget we have my brother's wedding coming up the following weekend"

"I know I haven't forgotten, how about I book a motel for us to stay in considering it's over an hours drive to get to"

"That's a great idea, you'll get to meet all my family and friends finally".

"I'm looking forward to it" said Jake.
