CHAPTER FOURTEEN:
The months flew by Crystal was finally in a relationship with Hank.
"So he finally cracked" said Brooke
"Yep! he knew I wasn't going to be his booty call, so he had to make a decision"
"It's important to have an honest and trusting relationship, otherwise it won't work!" said Brooke
Brooke also asked "Are you happy?"
"You know what? Yes I am happy he's a wonderful man and a hot lover!" replied Crystal.
They both cracked up with laughter, Crystal may have been honest but it was just funny hearing her say it.
"I am so happy for you"
"So how are things going with you and Jake?"
"They are going well, finally I have met someone that I really care for"
Deep inside Brooke was not as satisfied or as comfortable as she should be with Jake, it had been six months and yet she felt awkard, just calling him during the day it was just a vibe she got, she felt like she'd be annoying him, so she always waited for him to call her, he stayed over at her place six nights out of seven. He would always arrive around 8.30pm any time earlier than that was a bonus and a surprise, he would then leave at 5.30am in the morning. If he was playing in the band on a Friday night which was now a usual event, he would either pick her up around midnight if she was out at a bar with friends or he would come over at around 11.00pm and stay the night. She was still never aloud or invited to go and watch him play in the band, so she never asked anymore as she knew the answer would be no. Jake always told Brooke where he was playing though. Jake called Brooke twice a day always around midday and then around 5.30pm. He was very kind and extremely generous. He would always come over with wine and sometimes dinner for Brooke and him. Often he would give her money to go and buy herself something, he took her out for dinner and he never ever accepted a cent from her even though she did always offer to pay for dinner or drinks while out.
Another odd thing wasJake never spent a full day with her whether it be a Saturday or Sunday, every now and then she would bring the subject up but he would always have an excuse that he was working, and owning your own business was hard and he had a lot to do on weekends at the recycling yard. So of course she didn't want to hound him, she trusted him. He introduced her to a small circle of friends that he had but never his best friend who was his off sider in the band.
Brooke was falling in love with Jake and in time got used to the ways things were.
