CHAPTER FORTY SEVEN:
Brooke drove up into the driveway of her home. The house was in pitch black darkness, she got to the front door and put the key in the lock, taking a look around while opening the door.
When she opened the door and turned on the hall light she felt silly as she was spooking herself thinking there was someone hiding in the house. She then turned on several lights, she went into the kitchen and plugged her cellphone into the charger and noticed there were no missed calls, Brooke felt at ease with that, but made sure she put the cellphone on silent.
It was freezing in the house so Brooke decided to put the fire on, it felt cosy and warm having the fire burn away, while watched TV, she felt lonely and a little sad as the realisation of the days events started to sink in. She knew in her heart that she had done the right thing and that she had to put a stop to the relationship that her and Jake were in. She now knew that relationship was never going to work or have a happy outcome, her years would have been waisted had she of stayed in it getting no where and only having heartache, no trust and an unhappy life.
Unfortunately when you meet a player like Jake Jackson people were only going to be hurt in the end there certainly was never going to be a happily ever after.
Brooke dozed off on the couch she finally woke around 3.00am and got up off the couch and went over and put a couple more logs in the fire as there was only a glow from the very hot ambers and the room was feeling cooler once the fire was a raging glow again Brooke went off to bed.
"Ahh it feels good to be in my bed" Brooke said to herself and fell straight back to sleep.
