Maggie sat on the stairs in front of the Chateau, head leaning on her hand and her elbow resting on her knees. It had gotten dark already, and Maggie was supposed to meet up with the group at the beach, but she never showed up. Instead, she only sat there, staring ahead.

She didn't even notice when the Pogues arrived through the back door and sat down in the hammocks. Maggie couldn't say if they realised she never came, but she really hoped they did not.

Explaining would be so much more difficult for her.

She needed this time to get her shit together, so that tomorrow, she could pretend it never even happened. She could go back to not knowing anything about the Royal Merchant, but first, Maggie needed to give today's conversation a place.

What she didn't know was that JJ had been stressing all day, looking over his shoulder every time he heard a person approaching. He was starting to realise there was more to his looking out for her.

It wasn't just his attraction to her anymore. It became more. More than he ever felt for a girl, even though he never even kissed Maggie. JJ didn't have the urge to fuck her, like his side–chicks. He wanted to cherish her, be with her for as long as he could.

            Oh, no. Was he.. falling?

 falling?
