It was Tuesday, February 7th. Lincoln's bruise was much better now. His concussion was not nearly as bad as it used to feel. He was currently sitting on the couch scrolling through his phone. His mother walked in and said, "Hey Lincoln, there's a letter here for you.". She gave Lincoln the letter. He opened it and read it.

Dear Lincoln Nowak,

I want to apologize for what I did. What I did was wrong and dirty. I also want you to know I didn't want to do that move. My coach forced me. I was told that I would be kicked off if I didn't do it. Well, he's fired now. Someone caught him and took a picture of him bribing the referee. The referee was fired too. He was a terrible coach anyways. He would always yell at us for the slightest mistakes, he would make us run laps if we didn't do things pitch perfect like he wanted, and if we disagreed with something, he would make us do 30 pushups. I hated him. Well, I hope your concussion gets better and you get a fast recovery.

Sincerely, Aoto Yamamoto.

Lincoln smiled at this as he read it. He decided to pull out a pen and a paper and start writing back.

Meanwhile just outside of Tokyo International Airport...

A taxi driver was waiting inside his car. He saw his rear-view mirror go yellow for a few seconds before going back to normal. He then heard one of the doors open and what seemed like 3 people come in. This driver does not like looking at people directly in the face. He thought that was rude. They were not speaking Japanese or English. It sounded Eastern European. He heard one voice say, "Excuse me?".  It sounded like a grown woman in her 30s. "Yes?" The driver said. "If you understand English or Polski well?" the woman asked. "Japanese or English only" he said. "Ok, well... English." The woman said, "Can you please drive us to the nearest motel?". "Yes, ma'am." he said as he started to drive. "Teraz nie chcę słyszeć ŻADNEJ walki podczas tej podróży! Rozumiem?" he heard the woman say to the two other passengers.

It cuts back to Lincoln as he just finished his letter for Aoto. He folded it up and put it in an envelope. He then walked upstairs to his mother's room and knocked on the door. "Come in!" he heard her say. He opened the door and walked in. He saw his mother laying on her bed. "Hey Mama, do you think you could help me with sending this to that Aoto kid's school?" Lincoln asked. Suziko put her head up and said, "You mean the kid that elbowed you?". Lincoln sighed and said, "Yes, he is. BUT he just sent me a letter explaining how he apologized and how his coach forced him to do it.".

"Oh, my goodness, that's horrible. Poor kid. Neither you nor he deserved any of what happened." Suziko said feeling bad. "I know, Mama. That's why I'm sending this letter that I made back to him." Lincoln said. "You're such a good boy." Suziko said as she smiled. Lincoln smiled at her comment and said, "Thank you, Mama.".  Lincoln then gave her the envelope he just finished. She took it. "OK. I will do the rest." Suziko said to her son. "Really? Thank you, Mama!" Lincoln said. "You're welcome, baby." Suziko said. Lincoln and Suziko hugged each other as Lincoln walked out and closed the door.

To be continued...

End of chapter 23. Hope you all enjoyed!

A/N: I will admit that I do feel I did kind of a lazy job on this chapter. I promise the next one will be much more detailed, interesting and just better.

Also, the reason I'm going a little faster with chapters is because I REALLY want to introduce my new OCs (Lincoln's family members) into this book. I'm trying to take it slow but I just can't right now lol.
