Allena
I've been in Italy for almost a week and half, and Luca and I have barely spoken to each other. He's mostly at work, which makes avoiding him even easier.
Now, it's late. Everyone is asleep except for me. I can't help thinking about Adonis and the stupid herb he gave me. Suddenly, my door is pushed open by Maeve. She's wearing a tight, pink sparkly dress with matching heels, her hair is curled, and her makeup even seems to be professionally done.
"Get up." She whispers, shutting my door. "I'm horny."
"Ew, don't have sex with me." I groan. She chuckles. "No shit, Allena. I want to go clubbing. I want to dance with guys and drink till I'm so drunk I can't tell my right from my left without Gray or Luca trying to stop me."
"I don't see why you need to wake me up for that." I groan, trying to lay back down. "Because, you've been locked inside of this house for an entire week, it's time you have some fun!"
I roll my eyes. "Oh come on, Allena. Live a little." She pushes open my suitcase, flipping through the clothes Adonis forced me to pack. Then, she pulls out a tiny, black dress that looks like it's a two year old size. "This is hot." She smirks. "Put it on. Fix your hair. I'll do your makeup."
"Maeve, I don't want to go." I groan. "Come on, Allena. It's a private club. We'll have fun." She whines.
Fuck it.
In thirty minutes, I'm changed and my hair is done and Maeve is almost finished with my makeup. "Done!" She squeals. "Gosh, if I was into girls I'd totally take you out." I just give her a light chuckle and grab my blazer.
The two of us quietly walk downstairs to the front door. "Miss Winchester, I wasn't aware you were leaving the residence tonight." A man in a black suit says. "Or you Miss Draknos."
"We're going dancing." Maeve mumbles, taking out her purse. "Here's a couple hundred, keep your lips sealed." He grins and takes the money from her, tucking it into the fold of his suit. "That's how it easy it is to sneak out of here?" I ask, following her to the garage. "Uh huh." She whistles. "The amount of guys I've snuck into here is insane."
We climb into one of the cars and she immediately speeds out of the driveway, down the streets of Italy.
Twenty minutes later, she parks and the two of us climb out and step into line for the club. "I'm not over eighteen, Maeve. And neither are you..."
"No shit. Don't worry. I do this all the time." She smirks, twirling her hair. When we get to the front the guy asks her for an ID and then looks up at her and smirks. "Ay, mi amor. Tan bueno verte de nuevo."
"Guárdame un baile, ¿sí?" She asks. He nods and lets us in. "Was that Spanish?" I ask her. She nods. "I told you I was fluent in five languages."
The club is insane. People are dancing everywhere, drinking everywhere. "Let's party!" Maeve shrieks.
The night seems to be a blur. I drink at least seven shots and dance with Maeve until my body can't seem to move anymore. Eventually, Maeve is dancing with some guy, so I sit back down at the bar, trying to count how many fingers I have.
Then, I hear gunshots. Three to be exact. Everyone starts screaming and running, somewhere even though no one has any idea where the shots are coming from.
"Allena, we have to go. It's one of Luca's rivals. If they see us they'll kill us." Maeve whispers, tugging on my arm. "We can go out the back." I nod and follow her back to the bar, where she climbs over the counter and then motions for me to do the same.
"Shit." She sighs as soon as we get outside. I follow her gaze to where she parked her car and see there's at least fifty guys all arms walking around it. "Maeve, what the hell is going on?" I hiss as she pulls me behind a trash can.
"We must have been followed. Luca's enemies know you guys are dating." She mumbles. "I'm sure they'd all love to murder you...or sleep with you." She shrugs. "Thanks. Real comforting." I mumble.
"I have to call Luca." She sighs pulling out her phone. "No." I snap, snatching it from her. "Hey!" She whines. "It's cold and I'm not walking all the way back to the house." I roll my eyes. "If you call him that means i actually have to talk to him, and frankly I'd rather go right back into that bar."
"Does it matter?" Maeve asks. "We're drunk. And if a whole freaking mafia is after us we're so dead. And I can't die when im sixteen. That's depressing. Please, Allena? My head is pounding."
The last thing I want to do is talk to Luca, but deep down I know Maeve is right. And if I died and left my sisters alone with Adonis I'd officially be the worst sister in the world.
"Fine." I snap, shoving the phone back in her hands. She grins and quickly types in his number. He picks up right away. "Hey, Luca. It's Maeve...well obviously it's Maeve, anyways Allena and I went clubbing because the house is boring as hell...shut up just listen. And now a whole mafia is here, blocking the car." She mumbles something else and then hangs up. "He'll be here soon." She smiles, tucking her phone into her pocket.
"Hey!" A deep voice shouts. "Shit shit shit." Maeve mumbles, holding her head. "We're so dead."
"Can you maybe not say that?" I growl. We hear footsteps coming towards us. "Don't hate me." Maeve whispers. She ducks down and seconds later smearing mud all over my face. "What the fuck?" I hiss. She takes a hair pin out of her hair and quickly ties mine up, then rips my dress. "Maeve!"She ignores me and does the exact same to herself. "Boss. I got something." Suddenly, the trash can is thrown to the ground and about a dozen men appear.
"What are you ladies doing here?" One of them growls. Maeve starts talking in a British accent. To be honest, it's pretty damn good. "We were in the bar, we're tourists you see and then we started hearing all these gunshots and these mean men started beating up my friend Molly here." She sighed, patting my shoulder. "And then they started hitting up on me and we ran but it was so muddy with all the rain and all I can't seem to find a car and..."
"Ok ok ok." A man said with a harsh tone. "Why don't you ladies walk on out of here before something bad happens to you."
"Yes sir." Maeve smiles. "Let's go, Molly." She smiles to me. The two of us awkwardly turn and slowly walk in the opposite direction.
"HEY!"
"Shit." Maeve mumbles. "Just run."
The two of us take off, despite being totally drunk. I hear gunshots flying behind us and I'm half convinced I'm going to die.
"Get the fuck in the car!" We both turn and see Luca in one of his cars, speeding along the road. "Holy shit, Luca. We almost died." Maeve giggles, climbing into the car and pulling me behind her. "It was wild."
He doesn't say anything just speeds down the road, ignoring all road signs. "And im absolutely hammered." She sighs. "I drank so much. For so long and then..." Maeve keeps talking, but I think Luca and I both tune her out. Luca gives her an occasional nod or two, but he still looks pissed.
We pull into their house ten minutes later. Gray comes outside to take a now sleeping Maeve to her room after telling me the twins are still fast asleep. I've never felt more irresponsible.
Now, it's just me and Luca in the car. "You're not hurt are you?" He snaps. "No." I mumble. "I'm fine."
"I'll see you tomorrow." Is all he says before he gets out of the car.
