Luca

The past two weeks have been everything we all needed. I rented a house far from the city and the six of us have been away from all the drama that sits back at home.

"Gray pick up the spider faster!" Maeve shrieks from my back.

"It's not even a spider it's an ant." Gray mumbles, leaning down to grab it.

"Those are practically the same exact thing!" Maeve mumbles jumping onto the ground as Gray throws the ant away. "I'm going for a drive."

"I'll come with you." Gray says quickly.

"I want to go alone. I need Maeve time."

"You can have Maeve time. It'll be like I'm not even there." Gray smirks.

"Gray, you have your own car. Drive that. I want to drive alone."

"Where exactly do you want to go?" Gray asks. Maeve pouts.

"I don't know." She mumbles. "I just need some alone time."

"I know that." Gray says softly. "I understand, I promise. Just with everything that has been going on recently..."

"You don't trust me?" Maeve asks.

"I trust you." Gray nods. "But we both know how easy it can be to relapse back into another episode, and neither of us want that right?"

"Right." Maeve sighs.

"So how about I take you to get your nails done? I'll drop you off and be out of your hair for a few hours. Does that sound fair?"

"Really?" Maeve asks, her eyes lighting up.

"Truly." Gray chuckles. "I'll take the twins to watch a stupid movie or something and then we'll pick you up."

"Thank you! Thank you!" Maeve shrieks throwing her arms around Gray.

"You're welcome." He says gently, hugging her back and pressing a gentle kiss onto her forehead.

"I'll go get the twins." Maeve smiles, turning around towards the staircase.

"That's some of the best progress you've made in awhile." I smirk to Gray. He just chuckles, but I know deep down he's proud of himself.

"Now you and Allena have the house all to yourselves." He smirks.

"I'm not going to fuck her, she just got out of the hospital, and we've never even gone that far..."

"I meant you can ask her to marry you dipshit." Gray scoffs. "Now is the perfect time."

"Once again. She just got out of the hospital." I mumble. "I don't want to overwhelm her."

"Ok let's say you don't say anything, and the other mafias get tired of waiting and kill Allena."

"I'm not gonna let them touch her." I snap.

"Yeah by marrying her. I get that's weird and old fashioned, but it's better than seeing her head on a fucking..."

"Whose head?" Eleni asks, holding Maeve's hand as they walk into the room, Callie trailing closely behind.

"Little gremlin, we talked about eavesdropping, didn't we?" Gray teases, swooping up Eleni and tickling her sides.

"Stop it!" She squeals, laughing and pushing her tiny fists against Gray's chest. Gray eventually does, setting her back down and helping them slide their shoes on.

"Bye Luca!" Maeve smiles, giving me a hug.

"Bye Maeve." I say softly giving her a hug back. She gives me a wave before running to the car with the twins chasing behind her.

"Ask her. Have a conversation about it." Gray snaps sternly.

Well, here goes nothing.

Allena

I wake up with a pounding headache, and the feeling of someone watching me. I immediately jerk up, only to be met by Luca's anxious eyes.

"Bellissima?" He whispers.

"Hi." I mumble, moving my hair out of my face. His face relaxes and he leans over to press a kiss against my forehead.

"How are you feeling?" He asks gently.

"I have a headache." I sigh, deciding to be honest. "I just feel icky."

"Well, here take two of these." Luca mumbles, handing me two ibuprofen.

"You seem nervous." I say suspiciously, noticing his slightly shaking hands. "Spit it out."

He groans, and rubs a hand down his face.

"Will you marry me?" He blurts.

I just stare at him, waiting for him to say that it's a joke.

He doesn't.

"I thought that was a possibility when Adonis was you know...alive. Newsflash he's dead. As dead as can be. I shot him with the gun that you gave me and..."

"Yes yes I realize that. But things have gotten more complicated, Allena. People want you dead."

"Because I'm the stupid heir?" I mumble frustratedly.

"Baby, you are the boss now. Kal is out of the picture and Adonis is gone."

"But I don't want to be the boss." I pout.

"I know. I get that. And I promise you we will figure that out. Together. But right now we have a more pressing issue to worry about."

"Which is?" I ask.

"Bellissima, the Greek mafia is strong. Your father was a very strong leader. But right now it's very weak . Everyone knows that it is now in your hands, but people think that if they were to...assassinate you, they could take the mafia for themselves."

I take a deep breath, trying to comprehend everything he is saying. People want to kill me.

"How is me marrying you going to fix that?" I ask.

"Since I am the heir, and basically head of the Italian mafia...ours will kind of be joined. Anyone who touches you or the Greeks will be directly messing with me. And no one is stupid enough to do that."

"But we're dating already." I whisper.

"I know." He sighs. "But that's not enough. Not for them. And I know it's scary, and I know it's confusing. But right now, I need you to trust me. You still trust me don't you?"

"Always." I whisper. He smiles. "I'm just...I'm nervous I..."

"I know." He says gently. "I'm nervous too, but we're in it together. That's all that matters right?" I nod, letting a smile fold onto my lips.

"So," he smiles, getting off the bed, and getting down onto one knee, before pulling out a Ring Pop candy.

"Luca..."

"Allena Draknos... My bellissima." He smiles. "Will you go to insanity and marry me?" He asks.

I can't help but smile, and nod.

"I need to hear you say it, baby." He smirks, standing up. "Will you go to insanity with me?"

"Yes." I smile, leaning in to kiss him. "To insanity."

He smiles against my lips, kissing me, hard. "To insanity."
