Meet the boyfriend

Hayley's POV
It's been almost a week with out Demi. She still sends me messages everyday and I've wanted to reply a few times, but I can't. It hurts to much.
I didn't realise how much better I was with her in my life. I'm going back into old habits I forgot I had, since I left her, but I have no one to blame but myself.
I can't say I'm not happy to be with Casey and Rebecca, my best friends, but I just wish it didn't have to be this way, the only way we could be free was to run. I knew I wouldn't see Demi after camp anyway, so leaving early isn't a big deal, it just means I can move on quicker.

"I'm so glad we're closing, I'm exhausted" Casey huffed pulling her long blonde hair up into a bun. "Let's just finish these dishes so we can go home" I said heading over to the sink. It'd been a long day, we'd been here since 9 this morning and it's now 8pm. "I still can't get used to your new hair, I don't understand why you cut it" Casey said standing next to me handing me dishes. I thought about how I was going to respond, I never did tell them about the news article. "I dont know, time for a change" I shrugged it off.
"Guys guys guys!" Rebecca screamed running in all excited "what is it?!" I asked trying to match her energy. "You know that guy I've been talking to? He asked me out tonight!" She squealed "omg that's so exciting!" Casey giggled "that's awesome" I said trying to be excited for her. "How do you have the energy to do anything after work, I'm so tired" I complained "you don't seem to happy" Rebecca said sounding a bit disappointed "no sorry, I am I really am, I'm just so tired" I apologised "that's okay, I get it"
"So what are you guys doing tonight then?" Casey asked drying some dishes
"Probably just a movie and pizza?" She shrugged
"Can you guys shut up and finish your jobs so we can leave!" We all turned around to see a very annoyed Jessica with her arms crossed over her chest. "Sorry Jessica" Casey mumbled then lowered her head and got to work "yeah.. sorry" Rebecca apologised then went back to counting the money in the register. "Pfffttt" I rolled my eyes. "I'm sorry is there a problem?" Jessica roared storming up to me. "Hayley. don't" Casey whispered warning me from the sink. "I said.. is there a problem?" Jessica repeated looking down at me trying to intimidate me. I saw Rebecca behind her giving me a 'its not worth it' look. I looked up to Jessica and smiled "no, no problem" I said sickly sweet "good" she snarled then marched off. I saw Casey and Rebecca breathe a sigh of relief that I'd chosen to let it go.

"finally!" Casey groaned as Rebecca locked the front doors and we started heading home. "that actually wasn't to bad" I sighed smiling "we are so glad, you did a better job then us in our first week!" Casey chuckled "what do you mean?" I asked curiously "we just made, so many mistakes. we were sure we were going to get fired after the first 2 days! but luckily Lynn was very patient and understanding that it was our first job" Casey smiled appreciatively.
"That's good, I like them" I smiled

We got to our apartment building and took the elevator up to our room. It was lucky we lived only 2 blocks away from the cafe! We walked in and flicked on the lights. Casey ran in ahead of us and squealed.
"Time to get you ready for your first date Beccy!!" She squealed excitedly and Rebecca started skipping and squealing to. "Hey Hayley, do you mind if I go through your clothes and pick an outfit?" Rebecca asked "oh really?. It's just, unlike you to be interested in fashion" I shrugged "but this is my first date!" She exclaimed "well, of course you can" I giggled. I looked over to see Casey yawning "I'll make us all a coffee!" I offered. I wanted to show off my barista skills I'd learned in the last week.

"This one! No wait this one.. withhhhh this one!" "Yes I love it, but it needs something" I smiled to myself as I heard the girls rummaging through my, I mean, our clothes in the living room while I made us coffee. I was making us a pumpkin spice latte, like the one I'd had at Starbucks, I sighed thinking about such a pure memory while I put all the coffee cups on a tray and carried it into the living room to join the girls "here you go!" I cheered proudly handing them my coffees. I watched them take a sip and felt a sense of accomplishment when they smiled after their first sip "pumpkin spice?!" Casey smiled "this is sooo good, even I never thought of making pumpkin spice" Rebecca added "oh shucks, I learned from the best" I giggled. "Okay Beccy, go change into the outfit we picked and show Hayley, let's see what she thinks" Casey clapped excitedly "okay okay!" Rebecca smiled running out of the room.  I took another sip of my pumpkin spice latte and noticed Casey staring at me, I turned to look at her "you got your ears pierced?" She asked "oh yeah, do you like them?" I smiled tucking my hair behind my ear to give her a better view. "There so pretty. I've always wanted my ears pierced, do you think we could pierce mine?" She asked smiling at me. I couldn't say no, the look on her face was so cute. "Of course! I remember how the piercer did it so I can totally pierce yours!" I said making her even more giddy then she already was "but, what would we put in it?" She asked sounding a bit disappointed "oh, I know!" I shouted excitedly running over to my bag and digging through it, I found a packet of really pretty earrings and took them back over to where casey was sitting "look! You can pick any one  you want" I smiled handing her the packet of earrings "really!" I watched her eyes glow while she looked over all the earrings "I like this pair!" She smiled pointing to some golden butterflies "perfect, that will look so good on you!" I answered
