Scarlett's POV:

Waking up naturally was a nice feeling this morning. We're having a relaxing morning at the hotel before heading to the park this afternoon to redo our favourite rides and finish up our trip with the firework display. It's nice getting the chance to catch up on some sleep and rest. We've been up early the last few days and staying up late, so it's been tiring.

I turn in bed and just observe Y/n in her peaceful state. I could watch her sleep for hours, as creepy as that sounds. When she's sleeping, she looks completely relaxed, like she doesn't have a care in the world. After all the stress she's been under these last few months, with the deployment and Jimmy, it's almost a relief to see her sleeping so soundly.

She still has the odd nightmare, but my body is become accustomed to noticing and wakes me up so I'm able to support her. It's only taken nearly two years for me to be able to help, but I'm glad that I'm finally able to. Just holding her helps a lot and it makes me so happy that she can find such comfort in my arms, just like I do with her. Not wanting to ruin our peaceful morning, I place a soft kiss against her cheek and snuggle back into her and let her heartbeat lull me back into a state of sleep.

When I next wake up, it's to a warm sensation to my cheek. I smile when I recognised a familiar pair of lips placing soft kisses along my cheeks and nose. "Morning angel." She whispers to me as my eyes start to flutter open. I love the sight of wake up to her, her gorgeous eyes on me. "Good morning, babe." I greet her, leaning up to capture a quick kiss. "Ava's up and picking out her swimming costume for the day." Y/n informs me, and I wonder how I didn't wake when our daughter came in. "She didn't want to wake you. Said you looked like sleeping beauty." Y/n tells me as if she could read my mind.

"I was comfy, I think this is my favourite place to be. In your arms." I share cheesily. "Oh, is that so?" She questions and I nod but then quickly shake my head. "Actually..." I start leaning up so I can whisper in her ear. "I think my favourite place is between your legs." I say seductively, making sure my lips brush against her ear. She lets out a groan at my words and before I know it, I'm being flipped on my back. "You are a tease. But I would have thought you would have preferred it the other way around. You know, being the pillow princess, you are." She smirks at me.

I grab her pillow and swiftly hit her in the face with it. "How dare you!" I gasp. "I think I need to remind you of the times I've had you screaming my name." I warn her, purposely making my voice sound raspier, knowing what it does to her. She hovers over me, her smirk never wavering. "I'm waiting." She winks. But before I'm able to even tease her in return, she's quickly falling back on the bed and to my side when our door swings open and Ava stands proudly in her swimming costume.

"I'm ready!" She smiles, her hands on her hips like she's superman. "Bug, we still need breakfast." Y/n giggles whilst I run my hand up and down her back, still wanting her close to me. "Well hurry your butts up." She giggles. "Ava Y/l/n! Did you just say butt?" Y/n playfully gasps. Ava gives her evil smirk, the one she has definitely inherited from her mother and dashes off into the living room, Y/n hot her tails.

I bury my head in the pillow and let out a groan, instantly missing her warmth. But I'm quickly following behind, so I don't miss out. This is some of my favourite times with them. When they're being total goofs! "I caught her." Y/n says proudly, Ava handing by her ankles, her face red from her blood rushing to her face, but she's not stopping giggling. "Well done babe." I congratulate her, reaching out to take Ava. "Thanks for saving me mama." Ava says, snuggling into me. But I have other ideas. "I wouldn't thank me just yet. I feel someone wants to say hello." I tease and she starts to wriggle, knowing exactly what's going to happen. But I'm too strong and she can't get away from the tickle monster.
