Y/n's POV:

5 months old

Time is flying by and we're now in 2020! The last time that I celebrated the turn of a new decade I was celebrating with my three month old daughter, who was having the biggest tantrum as the clock turn to midnight, so I hadn't even noticed. This year wasn't completely different, I was celebrating with my five month old son. But I wasn't alone this time. I had my beautiful wife and 10 year old daughter by my side. This time, cheering with my family as the clock hit 12.

After wishing the kids a happy new year, Scarlett and I shared a passionate kiss, much to Ava's disgust. She decided enough was enough and took Leo inside with her as Scarlett and I share a moment alone together. "2020 has a lot to live up to after 2018 and 2019!" Scarlett states whilst we slowly sway as fireworks continue to go off in the sky. "It really does. But as long as I'm with you and we have our two gorgeous kids, then I'm the happiest person in the world." I express, leaning forward and pressing a sweet kiss to plump lips. "I couldn't agree more." Scarlett whispers, resting her head against my chest as we enjoy a few more minutes of peace.

It was nice to see in the new year with just the four of us. Christmas was lovely, but manic. We had lots of invites to celebrate the new year with others, but we decided in the end that we wanted to see in our first new year, as a family of four, with just us.

With the new year here, Scarlett was due to start to get back into work. She's attending the initial meetings for Sing 2 and has her first table run next week. I think she's really excited. When Ava found out, she was bouncing around asking all about the music that is going to be played.

Scarlett explained that a lot of the music is U2 music and she's excited to meet Bono. She played some of their songs that are going to be used and Ava is already singing them around the house. I personally can't wait until Scarlett is practicing them at home too. I love hearing her sing but she doesn't do it enough. Though it has increased now Leo is here. She likes to sing to him when he's fussy at night. 9 times out of 10 she's able to get him back to sleep.

Although I know she is excited for Sing 2, she's not so excited about the fact it means she's away from Leo. At the moment, she's only out a couple of days a week. Something Leo has definitely noticed. When she comes home, she rushes in to see him and his whole face lights up when he sees her. Scarlett basically steals the kids from me when she's home to make up for the time she's been out during the day. It's sweet.

Her time away from home is going to increase soon as Scarlett's reshoots for Black Widow are due to start in February. They had to delay the release and it's now coming out later in the year. That means that I'll be starting work around then too to finish up the last bits of music for the movie. Thankfully there won't be a lot and Leo will be coming with me to the studio when Scarlett is working too.

We're having a quiet afternoon before Scarlett is back to 5 days a week working. Ava is playing with Leo in the living room, but his attention is certainly not on her, much to her annoyance. You see, Leo has discovered mirrors, and as a result, his reflection. He spends time babbling away, smiling, and giggling whilst waving his arms about.

"Leo, do you want to play with your mobile?" Ava asks him, shaking some of the toys on it to try and get his attention. He doesn't even flinch as he lets out a giggle when he loses his balance and ends up with his back on the floor. I find myself laughing quietly to myself at how much fun he's having.

"Our son is going to be vein, isn't he?" Scarlett jokes as she sits next to me and hands me a cup of tea. "Can you blame him? Have you seen how handsome he is?!" I respond, earning an eyeroll from Scarlett. "Bug, you can move him to his mat. He's had enough him time now." I say to Ava, who's eyes widen at the permission given. She gently picks him up and moves him onto his play mat, the mirror nowhere in sight.
